Wanted to get here before they closed for good. Food took quite a while to come out, but everything was delicious. We ordered the southern fried lasagna, the Nashville Hot, Mac n cheese, and banana pudding.

Cadences closes for good on 11/22/25--but until then, it is indeed open for business! The food here is superb: creative, subtle flavors, excellently presented in an elegant restaurant setting. A meal here is twice as expensive as at a typical place, but it is 5 times as delicious--make sure to go before it closes!

Love the atmosphere, the food, the people, the vibe! Everyone was so nice and made our special day special. The chef dropped one of the dishes off and explained everything. Told her I had to try her green chile Mac after seeing she was from ABQ.

Food is superb, the grits were my personal favorite, but everything was exceptionally tasty, including the cocktails. Service was lovely but one of our drink orders was missed and the desserts took a very long time to come out. Highly recommend but expect to be there a while.
We had a great evening! We had a few things. Our favorites were the fried equites and the mustard green salad. The banana blossoms were also good, as were the drinks (cocktails & mocktails).

Easily the best meal of our week in New York! We visited to celebrate my spouse's birthday. The staff took wonderful care of us, noted our idiosyncratic allergies and recommended dishes and drinks. Everything was excellent; the manicotti was a highlight and we wish we'd ordered the dumplings earlier in our meal before we were full. We opted for sidewalk seating, and while the bike shop next door was a little rowdy, we never felt crowded and watching neighborhood dogs walk by was fun. Thanks for a great evening!

On a recent birthday trip to New York, I knew my visit wouldn’t be complete without experiencing Cadence’s delectable Southern-inspired menu. The space is warm and inviting, and the staff made us feel right at home. Our table shared the maitake ribs, cornbread, smothered greens, dumplings, macaroni and cheese, and chicken and waffles—and truly, every single dish was outstanding. Days later, I’m still dreaming about those greens and that cornbread. Cadence is an absolute must-visit in NYC for anyone craving soulful, plant-based comfort food!

I ate at Cadence to celebrate my birthday and it was delightful! My boyfriend and I walked in dripping wet and kind of miserable after being caught in a sudden downpour and left glowing after enjoying delicious food and incredible service (everyone was so kind to us!). Especially recommend the Nashville Hot waffle and the cornbread, which blew our minds.
