Cuisine critics: Shredded ginger (姜丝) for the soup dumplings could be thinner. The dumpling itself is tiny and I expect the skin could be thinner but it is a little thick at the top. The taste is good.

My wife and I were there recently for dinner. They were attentive and accommodating. We had requested to sit together. My wife ordered a lychee martini, one of her favorites, that she did not finish because it had way too much alcohol. We were in a hurry so we did not order appetizers. My wife ordered the Kung Fu shrimp which she enjoyed but she had to peel the shell from the shrimp. I had the chunking chicken which is very hot. The chicken itself could have had more seasoning but it was good. The duck fried rice was good as well.

Simply OMG. The food here is nicely prepared, the presentation and the taste! 10/10. Had a few things on the menu and was blown away but the diversity of flavors. The service was very welcoming and professional and I had a great time! You know the food is good when everyone at the table is quiet.

Came here because it has a Michelin Star.They don’t take reservation unless you are party of 8. So just walk-in and wait for your text. The line move pretty good. The restaurant is small but it has many seats.Food and atmosphere and staff were great. Staff were very friendly and attentive.It has great drink selection too.They were really thorough with our allergy and I do appreciate it. I would like to try some other menu when I come back here!

Visited during lunch time and the food was better than expected. I wish they had a wider choice of beer, including draft beer. I also highly recommend the double cooked pork, or something that was similar.

Old Shanghai style decor, pretty cool. The braised pork and tofu was savory. The pork feet was tender and authentic flavor. Everything was delicious.

Would definitely recommend Café China if you're in Midtown! Ambiance is simple, clean, and open Food was delicious with most dishes worth ordering again. The fish blossom was a hit and definitely had very large portion size for the price you pay Staff was hospitable and provided service whenever needed- They were friendly and courteous throughout our dinner

I'm not sure why I never finished my review for this place! Cafe China really marries wonderful authentic Szechuan cuisine with cute and cozy decor and fast service that didn't leave me wanting for anything more. This a * PERFECT * date spot. The frog was wonderful and succulent!

This spot is awesome. Super fast, friendly. Fantastic food. Lots of excellent options, great portions. I could happily eat here every day of the week. Cozy and compact, but really efficient service. Love the pot stickers, green beans and mustard greens fried rice.

This is the ultimate upscale Chinese restaurant in manhattan. The inside is extremely nice, from the decor to overall ambiance. I enjoyed the sichuan dishes.
