This is the sort of spot that romantics look to for an old New York. It is no frills. But if you come here at 4pm on a sunny day you’ll see old Italians sitting at tables on the sidewalk having an espresso complaining about how they don’t recognize the neighborhood. I am sure the food meets expectations but I can only speak to the drinks. Order a Negroni or an Aperol spritz and imagine a world when New York had an soul.
Quality espresso, had a marinara pizza made to order (usually have low expectations when requesting a pizza without cheese) which was one of the better I’ve had in the city.They accidentally made two pies instead of two squares and wouldn’t let me pay for both pies even when I insisted, even put espresso on the house.High quality customer service to compliment the pizza/coffee, definitely recommend stopping by for a coffee and quick bite.
We came here to grab a quick dinner before we went out with friends. This is a small local Italian restaurant where you can get pizza by the slice or pie, paninis and sandwiches, and also excellent pasta.I got the Penne Vodka and it was the right amount of spicy and came out fresh and hot.
