I ordered the “Ernesto” and holy cannoli, it was perfection. Piled high with quality meats, melty provolone, and that bread… that crusty, chewy, warm-from-the-oven bread that can make or break a sandwich? Capone’s bread is a freakin’ masterpiece. Every bite had that perfect balance of crunch, tenderness, and flavor. I don’t know what deal with the devil they made to get it this good — but I’m not asking questions.

Their house-made sauces slap, the portions are generous (I had to sit down and process what I just ate), and they’ve got options that cater to both meat-lovers and veggie heads alike.

I am an Italian. Food in Italy is a religion. It's a gathering of love and good times.
My taste buds are of the highest quality ( thanks to my mother and I lived in Italy)
I now live in New York
and I search for food that brings me back to my roots
I found a few. Unfortunately very few.
But the other day I was fortunate to walk into Cappone's sandwich shop.
I ordered the Gabriella and
immediately I was in the Amalfi coast. The combination of the real imported mozzarella, the real imported provolone and arugula and the incredible bread was made to perfection
The smell of the hot food transferred me back to my Sunday afternoon family dinners
And as the terminator said 'I'll Be Back'

This is one of the best sandwiches we’ve ever had. We ordered another one to go. Looking forward to eating it. I’ll come back and give it a review/ we ordered the chicken cutlet hot honey on semolina. Talk about flavor, and the texture on the toasted bread was pure perfection! We can’t wait to come back!!! Thank you for such wonderful sandwich and service!

Hate to be a critic but this place wasn’t it.

Staff was super friendly but other than that, total miss.

Decor / vibes are tired and exhausted.

Asked for roasted peppers and got some sort of pickled peppers instead. They also weren’t whole, but chopped super fine so I could not* remove them.

$21 w a soda. Stomached half and gave the rest to a homeless guy.

Sad experience

Fresh and delicious across the menu. Fast friendly service, and considering the area, great value. I love this place. Highly recommended!

Never did I think I would like chicken meatballs but these were awesome. Stuffed with artichokes and sundried tomatoes with a vodka sauce. Delish

Number one the owner is a miserable guy who sells crappy mediocre food. I make much better sandwiches at home using Boarshead coldcuts. Also the horrible music

Richard Liguori

Horrible food, nasty owner, and the WORST music you’ve ever heard in your entire life.

At first, I thought it was too simple for a $17 sandwich. But after finishing the whole thing, it was quite good. I got the Pietro. I think the bread could have been toasted / tasted a bit more elevated. The cheese was really nice, and there was a good spread of basil and tomato. The vinaigrette sauce was amazing. They have a daily $15 special. Feels very neighborhood and chill, with 4 or so tables to sit at.
