Our server Crystal was absolutely great. I didn't get the name of the guy at the door seating everyone but as busy as they were everyone got seated VERY quickly and he made sure to speak to everyone waiting in line. The food was great and the staff was awesome!
Excelente lugar
The place was crowded but the host was very thorough and got us seated quickly. The food was “meeehhh” average diner food in my opinion.
We had a great breakfast here! The staff was incredible! Everyone was so accommodating, kind, and fun. The food is excellent, and our water glasses were never empty. The view of Carnegie Hall is awesome. The vibes are immaculate!
No point in making a reservation - we booked for 10am and turned up 5 minutes early only to be told to join the back of a long queue outside the restaurant. Finally seated at 10.25/10.30am which isn't great with hangry kids. The man on the door was rude and only seemed to be able to say ‘everyone has a reservation' and ‘join the line'. (Even though not everyone in the line had a reservation). Once inside the wait staff were excellent and the food pretty good. Unfortunately the man on the door and long wait despite reservation ruined the experience.
We went to Carnegie Diner for lunch on a Wednesday. Our meals were excellent. Our server and the manager combined provided outstanding service.
We had lunch here with our family and small kids. Everyone was so friendly and caring and the food was great and amazing service. Highly recommend.
Food was great, they accommodated our group of six where one was a performer that evening at Carnegie Hall Hall and had limited time to wait, servers were super! All in all, a great experience!
I was meeting up with a friend to have a quick bit to eat before we took a trip around the city. When we got there, there was a line for reservations - so we did not get sat immediately, though the wait was not long (~15 minutes from when we got there to when we got sat.) the service and food was very quick, the server came instantly and was curious what we wanted to drink and eat. They were extremely friendly and helpful with choices. The food came out pretty quick as well and the portions were extremely LARGE. Which is obviously a good thing. The taste of the food was also very good quality, and the experience was very good. Would recommend for a small group. MAKE A RESERVATION.

Sebastian was an amazing host. He also made sure my son enjoyed his 18th birthday here. The food was delicious. Last time i had the pastrami burger this time i had the morningside burger. Omg.. we are coming back again. A beautiful sunny Thursday in the city. Thank you great time
NYC Diner experience. Super busy, glad we made a reservation for breakfast. Food was great and our server was efficient.
Our only issue was being told we then had to stand in line once all 3 of us had arrived. We had a reservation and were in line with others who did not have a reservation. After we told them host a second time that we had a reservation, they then called us next out of the line. Just be aware. We waited 20 minutes in total for our table. Then all was smooth sailing...
Incredible experience from start to finish. Incredible prices, great entrees and starters. I highly recommend.
Best breakfast spot I've been to in NYC. Awesome environment and location, great service and quick. Food was absolutely amazing everything we ordered, will for sure be back. Feels like you're eating breakfast at home. Wish I could give them 10 stars!
