5 stars all around. Every single dish we tried (around 12) was simply amazing. The service was remarkable. Can’t wait to be back in town so I can go back.
Nice place good food
We’ve lived in the neighborhood for years and have dined at Casa Mono many times, but this recent visit left us genuinely disappointed. We stopped by during a slow period after lunch—the restaurant was nearly empty—only to be told they couldn’t accommodate us because we had a stroller.
Instead, they offered us a table outside, despite it being 90 degrees. Given the empty tables inside and the fact that we’re repeat customers, the lack of flexibility and hospitality was frustrating.
We’ve always enjoyed the food here, but it’s hard to justify returning to a place that won’t extend basic consideration to loyal patrons. Casa Mono can—and should—do better.
One of the best meals I’ve had in the city. Every dish hit. Wine was great
Found a hair in my foie gras but they got a new one for me. The food was just average. If you sit outside the service would basically just neglect you. Don’t know why there’re so many recommendations on socials. Quite below the standard of a Michelin 1 star, both food and service.
Just ok.
Delicious Spanish food, very well done, true to authentic smell and taste, look is modernized but doesn't loose on execution.
Avoid this place at all cost!! For the same price you take a flight to Spain, go to Casa de las Navajas, and try the real deal! To start with.. Old bread, in a Michelin start? Outrageous! Croquetas.. overcooked and dry. Arroz tasteless, precooked, super spicy sauce. Sweetbread we needed to return them. Is this a Spanish restaurant? Poor my grandma, she will die again if he tries it.
We love Spanish food and heard about this one is good and recommended by locals. A little too high expectations maybe. The place is very casual and crowded. A lot of service people standing around making the space even more crowded. The food is good but not really to rave about. We like the fish over black rice. That is the best. The skirt beef steak is also delicious. The widely praised razor clams are little over cooked. And the pork belly is also very tough. We had better Spanish food at other places.
As in past visits, everything was very good.....however, I come less frequently as the liberal use of salt is not particularly healthy and tends to over-power the underlying flavors.

The skirt steak with onion marmellada and romesco sauce was superb, as were the patatas bravas and the home-made sorbets. I wish the Spanish beer selection was a little broader--only 1 weak lager was avauilable. Due to a last minute glitch, my friend did not make it, but I opted to eat there anyway. Service was very accommodating. The noise level (5:30-7PM on a Monday evening) was fine, not sure how it would be later on. I enjoyed my meal there very much, and will definitely come back.
We sat at the bar and enjoyed roughly ~9 tapas - they were all fantastic. I'd highly recommend the Skirt Steak, Scallops with Green Curry, and Pork Sobrasado as MUST EATS
Found it by accident one afternoon. Had lunch and it and the service very much. So much, we went back 5 days later to celenrate my birthday. Patrick
The food, as always, was delicious. The pan con tomate came out burnt so that was a little disappointing, espcecially because we had been craving it since the last time we had it. But everything else was great.
Always a totally wonderful, if not exceptional meal! Delicious reasonably priced wines. Excellent service. Superior recipes and execution of food. This is one of my favorite restaurants in New York City.
