Reliably chill lounge that has been a neighborhood staple forever. Good drinks, still reasonably priced.
We stumbled upon this bar while searching for a quieter spot where we could actually chat and hear each other and it turned out to be a great find. The atmosphere was perfect for a relaxed conversation, and the Macaron espresso martini was definitely the highlight, absolutely loved it. On top of that, the staff were incredibly friendly, which made the experience even better.
Hennessy was a great bartender! So friendly and accommodating. Really enjoyed the snap pea earl grey margarita, very unique.

Cibar is a stylish and modern cocktail lounge, known for its cozy atmosphere and upscale vibe. The drink list features excellent signature cocktails with creative names, such as the Hedge Fund Guy, Basic Betch, and La Jefa. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, providing good service. Although the prices are on the higher side, around $18 for a cocktail, it is considered acceptable for NYC standards. The lounge is a great place to spend time while waiting for a table at nearby top-rated bars. For those not drinking alcohol, Cibar offers delicious "mocktails" that have been praised as the best non-alcoholic drinks by customers. The lounge also features a beautiful and comfortable interior and exterior decor, with excellent groovy and house-y music provided by talented DJs.
