The service was not appropriate for a place like that. Waiters were aggressive and coming to the table every other minute. No special treatment considering that was an anniversary. They took the check while we were still eating dessert. This is not a service I expect in a restaurant.

Cathedrale has been getting a lot of hype on IG and social media platforms. Looking through the menu was promising, but I think it missed the mark on a few of the simple items. I'll start by saying the service was the star of the restaurant by the hosting staff and serving team. The bar tender brought this down a little bit as we waited at the bar for our pre-dinner cocktail. We ordered wine and a few starters with the Tuna and the Steak Tartare. Both were "fine" but nothing off the chart amazing, The delivery was well-timed giving us time to enjoy conversation without feeling too rushed. The main entree was us sharing he Halibut and and the shaved trufffles on top gave it that extra bonus of flavor. The ambiance was nice with the stairway leading down being a nice touch. Then the openess of the main dining area made it feel large and spacious The seating was a bit challenging with the tables being VERY close to each other. I was constantly bumped by both the servers and other patrons. No one's fault really other than just poor design and placement on the floor. Pricing was as exected with the prices not overly high for a NYC restaurant.

I was really looking forward to dining at Cathédrale, but the experience was extremely disappointing. The food was honestly uneatable — poorly prepared, lacking flavor, and not remotely worth the price or hype. What made the experience worse was the interaction with the manager, Liam, who was extraordinarily rude and dismissive when we raised concerns. Instead of addressing the issue or showing any interest in resolving it, his attitude made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. For a restaurant positioned as upscale, both the food quality and customer service fell far below expectations. I won't be returning and wouldn't recommend it based on this experience.

Everything about this restaurant was superb! The food was delicious with diverse options and traditional favorites combined in novel ways. The service was impeccable! Friendly, very attentive and knowledgeable wait staff and bartenders within a cool, hip and retro atmosphere! I will definitely be back!

If you wanna dress up, eat some good food and not feel out of place, just come to the Cathedral! Don't overthink it. You'll have a great time.

Terrible terrible service with the hostess staff. My fiancé and I made a reservation a month ago to celebrate and we got there early and every other single party got sat before us. We stood and waited for our table that we had a reservation for for over 35 minutes. Every time we asked about our table the hosts would say just a couple more minutes. My feet were killing as i was in heels. I expected WAY better service from a restaurant with tons of reviews and such a high rating. Will not be returning or be recommending to friends.

Last Friday was like a dream! I’ve heard about their incredible happy hour from TikTok. I went with my sister to celebrate a new job promotion and Alberto made it an unforgettable night. He was so accommodating, kind and knowledgeable about the menu. We laughed all night and he poured wonderful words into my next journey. I will always come back !

The staff was so nice and accommodating! We booked a super last minute/ late reservation and they were so welcoming and never rushed us while we were there. Highly recommend coming here if you’re celebrating a special occasion

We had a table for 8:30, party of 4. We got there at 8:25pm, told that our table was being prepared. We watched as large parties were sat before us, checked back in around 9pm. Told that our table would be ready soon. Asked again around 9:30 and told our table would be ready soon. We left and got a text at 9:38pm…. Over an HOUR after our reservation! I get being busy, but if they’re going to cancel our reservation after 15 minutes, they should hold themselves to the same standard. Will warn everyone I know about this place!
