Variety of French Fair! One of the best French restaurants ever! Extremely hospitable and attentive staff. The ambiance is amazing! Appetizers to dessert were excellent. Lovely spot, and lively spot. Food was very delicious, especially the sea bass. Although they didn't honor the OpenTable Dining Awards they were very apologetic and accommodating and comp'd us drinks and dessert for our anniversary. We will definitely be back!

Celebrated my friend's birthday with dinner at this absolutely gorgeous venue, and it was top notch all the way around. Every staff member we encountered wished my friend a happy birthday, including the Assistant General Manager, who stopped by our table. Wait staff was friendly, helpful, and knowledgable. But the food was the star! We shared the burrata appetizer, and then went on to the Faroe Island salmon for me, and the bronzino for my friend. I'm not exaggerating when I say it was probably the best salmon preparation I've ever tasted...and I consume a lot of salmon! We passed on dessert, but were served a small, tasty confection in honor of the occasion. Although the experience wasn't cheap, it was not over-the-top, and actually quite reasonable by Manhattan standards. I can't wait to go back again!

INCREDIBLE! Fine dining that is entirely worth the cost as the food is exquisite and service impeccable. The Halibut, Salmon, Filet Mignon and Fettuccine all got rave reviews. The salad, tomato, and oyster appetizers were fresh and delicious and the desserts delicate and balanced.
It exceeded our expectations, including the level of patience with a person with a mobility challenge - to a person, the staff was gracious, supportive, patient and kind. All a testament to the fine leadership of Cathedrale and the team (with thanks to Ms. Buntovich).
Our only collective suggestion (age range 24 to 92) was that the the volume of sound/music was just high enough to challenge easy conversation. Despite which, we would all return.
If you can afford and are prepared for ~$140 per person, you too will not be disappointed.

The food service itself was very slow, and the quality of one of the steaks we ordered was not in keeping with its price. Overall we still had a good time, and the space itself has a special feel, but the quality of both the service and food was a notch below where it should be.
