This place is absolutely amazing. Get a reservation if you’re in town and want some good seafood. Razor clams are a must.
One of the best meals I’ve had in the last year for sure. Standouts were razor clams (easily the best I’ve had) and tuna conserva with sun gold tomatoes (which I live for). Wine selection was excellent and service was relaxed but super helpful. Reminded me of seafood bars in Barcelona. Menu sounds simple but everything was delicious and lots of tastes I haven’t tasted before. Oh and the brioche bread was mindblowingly pillowy.

Penny is a favorite among locals and visitors. The New York eatery boasts outstanding cuisine with unique aromatic qualities that make the dining experience a visual treat. The atmosphere is great, with friendly and professional staff. Everything was spectacularly fresh, and prepared directly in front of you. Food is good but a bit overhyped and prices a bit steep. The restaurant offers delicious seafood and wine. The bar seating area, with comfortable seats, is a pleasant spot to enjoy the meal. Shrimp cocktail was sublime. Wine by glass were interesting and different choices. Service was very knowledgeable and friendly. Overall, a great place with impeccable quality and a welcoming environment.
