A great dinner place. I was impressed by the food! We got the mandarin salad, croquettes, the clams, and artichokes for the apps - order extra bread to enjoy the oil based most of these come with!
Low lighting and the seating seems very close together so it was loud (but it’s the people you are with that make any dining experience)
Staff was very prompt and checked on us constantly- not annoyingly
Great vibe and an open kitchen with a bar where you can watch them prepare some meals.

Server was on dissociatives, seafood was extremely mid, french fries and wine were good.
It has the casual dining and wine-bar vibe that captures the spirit of Spain and Portugal.
The place is livelier at night than during the day, making it great for grabbing drinks with friends or enjoying a meal with wine.

The food and service were 👌👌👌 i really wanted to try their prawn head but the menu has changed. A lot of food were sour but right level of sourness. This is a perfect date spot. Piri piri chicken and croquettes were mediocre tbh but other seafood options were amazing

Food was great but that host is very rude! We had a problem with the table and the attitude from her made us do uncomfortable even the food was great but we couldn’t enjoy.

I watched a kitchen worker stick a meat thermometer in his mouth and then back in somebodies food while checking to see if a dish was ready 🤢
Amazing experience!! Food is delicious and truly authentic. Very much recommend to anyone from or visiting NYC.

Do yourself a favor and make reservation. An ideal small place with consistently good food. Don’t forget to order fried heads of prawns. Lamb burger with anchovies is a must. Every portion of French fries is tested, literally.

Restaurantji Recommends
First time at Cervo’s this past Sunday and it was a wonderful and memorable time. My friend and I got to sit at the Bar and Zane made the best recommendations and was so lovely.
I loved the Mezcal Martinez - it is a perfect drink for the cooler fall weather and every dish was stupid good and so flavorful.
The clams are a must, the spinach and mussels were perfect and you will want to order extra bread to soak up every drop of sauce (Zane’s pro recommendation) , the yellowfin tuna- melt in your mouth mind blowing, and the blackfish was gorg.
I don’t get to ball out a lot but this night was such a treat in a beautiful atmosphere with lovely, kind and knowledgeable service. Thank you so much to everyone at Cervo’s for such a sweet experience.

Good food and drinks, awful service. The hostess was lovely, but our waiter rushed us to order everything at once and dropped the check without us asking, it felt like he wanted us gone. Outside, another waitress snapped at us for smoking beside our table and threw in, “You’re in New York, not in Europe,” which was unnecessary and rude. We left feeling unwelcome. Wouldn’t return, not worth it.
Clams were great (and get the bread!). Same for prawn heads. Chicken was alright but not as special.
Small restaurant with mostly barstool seating that is uncomfortably close together. Thankfully the food and service is fantastic. Based in Spanish cuisine, the menu has a solid array of seafood options with a few meats thrown in the mix. The burger is well known but not my favorite, the texture of the meat is slightly gamey and with the anchovies it’s approaching over salted. The staples of the menu are strong including the skate fillet and the roasted chicken. The small plates get seasonal refreshes. During this visit the beefsteak tomato salad was beautiful with a surprising spice and the pea shoots were refreshing with a kick of acid at the end. Dessert here could be stronger and feels like an afterthought. The flan is good but doesn’t frequently get updates and the cake is usually not great. I wish things got updated more frequently here but the food never disappoints.
