Cha-An Bonbon was okay! It’s a little bit on the pricey side, but it was cool to try some new Japanese desserts. The premium Hojia soft serve was worth to try. It had a lot inside of it from icecream, mochi, sweet red bean, and a biscuit. Overall, it gave me very peanut butter vibes, and it was like I was eating a peanut butter soft serve. The soft serve was around $9 which is okay priced. The strawberry ichigo daifaku, I was expecting more from. It was around $7, and the portion was a little small for the price. It should have been around $4-$6. I finished it quickly, but it should have been less expensive. The taste was ok, but nothing to remember. The shop was small, but very cute, and there is a small outside seating available. Customer service was also pretty good, they were very patient and friendly.

Price: $16.88?
Rating: 6.5-7 ?

I usually have a great experience but today I noticed they used generic canned fruits in my hojicha anmitsu. Was a bit disappointed and it ruined the effect of the wonderful hojicha ice cream, red bean, mochi, and cookie topping.

I find Cha-An the Teahouse mid at best (it used to be good, but it's fallen so far), but this dessert outpost of theirs is noticeably better. The Sakura cookies were some of the softest, most buttery shortbread biscuits I've ever had. NO cherry flavor (more strawberry and raspberry), but you'll be too distracted by their beauty to care.

I bought a box of assorted mochi and assorted cookies. The Yuzu Mochi tasted fantastic and my family liked the Black Sesame cookies so much, they were gone before I could even try them.

Definitely going to come back and try out the different desserts.

I never give rating this low and I wish I had looked at the reviews before coming. It was really really expensive for overpriced desserts that I didn’t think tasted that good. I had the three flavored dango and the dango was a bit hard. I’m not an expert or anything, the staff were friendly enough

Kind of overpriced for what it is but the flavors are very unique! It’s a very tiny place and you have to sit outside. I wouldn’t come back again but what I got was super pretty!

we ordered the sakura parfait which originally came with hojicha ice cream; however the employees there switch it to another flavor without even notifying us nor apologizing. they were extremely unprofessional and almost gave us a different cookie decoration from the picture saying that they ran out of them. the parfait looked very messy and tasted mid, def not worth the price and effort to look for the store. this is my first time writing a negative review. very disappointing.

Went in this afternoon with a friend , after paying $32 for two icecreams they informed us that they don’t have the right cookies for our orders, and offered other choices that were frankly much worse. After a minute they ended up finding the right cookies so that was okay. But after they brought out our icecreams they told us they switched the flavour, because they didn’t have the other. It came off quite unpleasantly since it was the second time they messed up our order and they didn’t seem unapologetic at all.
Overall, the ice-cream was underwhelming, it was 60% cornflakes filled, and the matcha did not taste the best either, definitely not worth the price tag. The staffs were quite unprofessional and didn’t seem like they knew what they were doing. Would not recommend this
place.

Yikes. I don’t often give such low reviews but I’m honestly disappointed by this place. I was told it was really the IT spot for all things matcha… but maybe that was my fault for not going to the sit down cafe instead. Either way, the Matcha here is overpriced, old and badly prepared and no body really seems to know what they’re doing.

10$ USD for a bad matcha latte that comes from a squeeze tube? Ya I’ll go to Starbucks… also, why is there a 2$ extra charge for wanting hot…??

Anyway, come here if ya like aesthetic cause all everything else aside it was decently pretty inside! ?

Absolute favorite spot to swing by and grab mochi to go, especially the matcha and yuzu. They have seasonal flavors, like the apple mochi and sakura cookies, and a great overall dessert menu. There store itself can fit about 2 people in front of the counter, so there's no seating inside, but an outdoor seating area sits right on the curb.

Had the matcha tiramisu, the homemade mochi, and the dango (?). They are a bit pricey.

Favorite dessert place in NYC. On the pricey side for desserts but you can tell the ingredients are fresh go through a process. I also understand that rent prices for restaurants and small business owners in NYC is ridiculously high. The texture of the ice cream was so deliciously perfect. It came with a little cookie and I wish I would have bought their cookies because though it was a small part of the dessert, it was memorable. It came with red bean and I like that you couldn’t really taste the skin of the bean. Overall the dessert felt light but fun to go through so many textures of the jelly, motchi, cookies and ice cream. I got the Anmitsu parfait. Also got matcha mochi and sesame mochi . The matcha mochi was sooooft. Delicious.
