Beef pho was pretty good, despite the noodle's being slightly thicker and more chewy than I'm used to.

The spring rolls were also good, better than expected. The rice paper was thin and soft, which typically is indicative of quality and freshness. And the sauce, which looked and tasted as if there was peanut butter mixed in, which is in fact what I prefer, and which I think is atypical around NY.
So far the best Pho I've had in NYC. The Cha Pa's Pho came with beef on bone that was very well cooked. Very likely they used real beef bone broth instead of artificial seasonings. Papaya salad is OK but not for a cold day in winter.
I love this place, it’s cozy and the food is so good and comforting. This time we got a seafood pho and a vegetable pho. I actually liked vegetable pho. The broth was very rich and herbal. Seafood had a bit of a sweet taste, but we finished both anyway.

We also got black rice pudding for dessert, which was nice.
