I have to say there are many pizza places in the city but champions always has me coming back. Some of the best pizza I have had and memorable in every way. A great environment on a late night out or even just for a quick bite. Shout out to the staff for always being reliable when you need a fresh and hot slice.

One of the best slices of margharita I've ever had (and I'm old and well-traveled!). Sauce was so delicious, tasted like homemade. Accessible price. For pizza in NYC, for me, this is #2 (#1 is the pepperoni square at Prince St.)
Friendly worker too.

PS- Essex street/storefront sidewalk could be cleaner, but such is NYC.
