It says on Google they are under construction so I assume they should be reopening. This place is a hole in the wall (literally) I walked right by it when looking for it. It's a very dope spot tho, they are playing music inside the workers are so chill. They have one menu up and there are not too many items on it which for me it's perfect , sometimes I like not having to choose from too much. I got their chicken sandwich, it comes on a biscuit with gravy and boyyyyy was it good. The gravy was so creamy and good and the crispy chicken was doing what it had to do! I've already came back two more times ! (I only gave 4 stars instead of 5 because I haven't tried anything but the chicken sandwich)

Damn, i took forever to write this review and haven't been in months and now i see it's closed, wtf? Anyways heres the review I had written: This place has changed A Lot since the original location, but only as far as store looks go and updated technology and how you order and pay. The sandwiches are still fire tho. Not even a dine in spot anymore. Whole different vibe and setup, unfortunately.. only thing i can rate them on now is the delicious food... will always have my memories of the original location which was dope. Food still comes out fast and hot and people are still nice. I'll keep coming here with no end in sight. Easy to walk past the spot if you aint payin attention.. don't walk past, go in and feed yo self!

The chicken biscuits were soooooo good! Sad they closed. Kind of hoped they relocated.

Sheesh!! For the price of $7, this sandwich is unbeatable. Between a warm, buttery biscuit is a sizable piece of friend chicken. It is well seasoned and a formidable opponent to a sit down restaurant's friend chicken sandwich (as opposed to fast food). It is accompanied by a red cabbage slaw which adds color and attempts to cut through the greasy gravy. I wasn't too fond of the gravy as it tasted very creamy almost (unlike the gravy I usually have at thanksgiving?). I would probably skip the gravy when ordering again but this is personal preference. The one fall back is that it is SUPER greasy... I am not a fan of friend food in general and thought the oil/butter slathered onto to the biscuit was an overkill but despite this, I thoroughly enjoyed this sandwich! Service was a little slow (although I am assuming this because they make the sandwiches to order! It was very warm after all) and our cashier was super friendly.

As a day one fan, I know that the location change makes no difference. The chicken biscuit... Bomb! The short rib sandwich... The bomb! The Po'boys... The best I've had in New York City! But then again, the owner is from New Orleans, so there you go. That bread pudding is everything that you don't wanna share with anyone ever!Going to see my friend soon, because the half shrimp, half oyster Po'boy is calling me! Plus, I want to see the set up in the Essex market.

I came here on a Friday afternoon and shared a chicken sandwich with my friend. The staff was super friendly as we waited for our sandwich. They're currently undergoing renovations at their new location, so we got our food to-go and ate it ~15 minutes later. I loved how all the flavors combined felt like such a seamless combination! The biscuit was lighter and easier to eat than expected, which I loved. The fried chicken was done well--crispy on the outside but tender and cut thickly. The cole slaw added a good tang without being close to overwhelming like most other cole slaw are. But the gravy... wow, that gravy really holds all the flavors together. The cross-section can make this sandwich feel like something that will make you feel so overpowered from just one bite, but honestly, I think the gravy does a lot of work in making the flavors combine well. However, I took off a star because (1) it was smaller than expected and (2) because we had to take it to-go, the gravy sunk into the bottom of the biscuit and it easily crumbled as a result. Regardless, I would definitely come back here again, and maybe eat the sandwich a little sooner after I order it.

Worst cheesesteak I’ve ever had.

Ok, the sandwich looked like a mess once I started eating it, but TRUST me-- you need this chicken biscuit in your life. I went right before lunch time to avoid the rush. It is super nondescript on the outside and you might even think the restaurant doesn't even exist. But it does. Limited seating inside but I was able to get one of the lone tables and enjoy my meal. I wish I had sat at the counter and had a conversation with the chef who seemed super personable. I ordered the chicken sandwich without the slaw and it gave me all the feels--it was like a warm hug. One sandwich was definitely enough for me and I couldn't imagine having any other sides with it... until they offered me the beignets. I couldn't say no, that would be rude. Just be sure to get lots of napkins for the sandwich and beignets because it gets messy.

I couldn't decide so I purchased two sandwiches. NYC's bacon egg and cheese and there chicken biscuits with purple slaw and gravy. I tried the chicken sandwich first because my plan was give the breakfast sandwich to my wife later since she hadn't been. The Chicken sandwich was so good I ate both . Biscuits were soft warm flakey with a light chew. Flavors danced with each bite. This spot is a gem little expensive but there hype was backed up. Will definitely revisit next time I'm in New York.
