Golden Wok, at 8th and 19th, is a very typical Chinese takeout place, but it’s my favorite in the area. I’ve had a good number of dishes from there, and have never been disappointed. My current addiction is their boneless spare ribs. As a combo it comes with pork fried rice and an egg roll. It’s truly delicious, and I just can’t get enough of it.
While the food is great, so is the staff. Here, you don’t have to deal with the rudeness that you’d normally have to deal with at these types of restaurants. In fact, there is one woman at the counter (she always wears a baseball cap and is the shorter of the two women who are there), who is very nice and friendly. If you engage her, she’ll even be a bit chatty. She’s a very sweet lady. Between the great food and the nice staff, I just keep coming back.

It is obvious to me that the reviews I'm reading are put there by someone who is invested in this operation. I ordered chicken wings and vegetable fried rice and was highly disappointed by what was delivered. The wings were super small and looked as if they were 100 years old. Even the homemade iced tea wasn't good. This is the first time I've seen a Chinese Restaurant destroy a simple order like this, it was horrible!!! I literally could not eat that "chicken ", if that's what it really was. Even the rice had an odd consistency, like it was weird to chew. Did I tell you they messed up the iced tea also? The absolute worst meal I have had in a long time. I've never given a review before, but this was soooo bad that I was compelled to save people from having an experience like I just had. SMDH

Solid. Consistent. Delicious. Every time. My go-tos are chicken & broccoli, eggrolls, and fries. The cashew chicken and shrimp fried rice are a close second. Yum.

I ordered chicken wings with french fries the order was ice cold when I got it the chicken wings and the chicken wings tasted like they were refried over and over in disgusting oil I wouldn't serve that food to a homeless person I'm surprised nobody reporting you to the health department my money down the drain

not sure how they can deliver a meal in six minutes but honestly. who cares. what a fantastic place!!! always fast and tasty!
Their waste handling contaminated the bike lane with grease which they failed to clean up. They haphazardly marked it with a few cones, no caution tape, no signage, no effort to clean up after themselves. I lost traction while riding in a perfectly straight line and suffered a shoulder injury.

This is my favorite Chinese place in the neighborhood. The food is good, the service is good, and the price is good considering the neighborhood. I always go for the lunch specials especially the beef with green beans and the Kung Pao Chicken.
