Probably my favorite halal cart in the city. I always get the falafel over rice. It's a great and fast option for a late night bite, and the guy running the stand is super nice. Definitely worth it!

Wanted to update my review: still my favorite halal cart but some pointers:This place is called Midos on 58th and 9th ave- they have 2 different types of rice! Make sure you get half spicy and half regular! Game changer and the best!- hot sauce is VERY spicy with the spicy rice... let me tell you I usually put hot sauce on everything and make everything spicy. Items rarely hit my spice tolerance but this place HIT it.They really differentiate themselves by offering different types of rice and the greens they give you!Will always continue to support this cart

A street cart. with a huge cult following, that's probably not all that cult anymore. It's a tourist spot. But you still see locals like cabbies getting their food here. This place is legit. I had the lamb platter with rice. Their hot sauce is VERY HOT! A little bit goes a long way. And I like spicy stuff but this hot sauce will blow your mind! Their "white sauce' helps to quell the heat. So do the smart move and get extra white sauce if you go for the hot sauce. I hate waiting on lines. But some of my out-of-town friends were in for a visit and wanted to try it. It did not disappoint!

What else can you ask for when you want great Halal food? This hits the spot anytime of day, and in the city that never sleeps these guys know their customer base and give you so much food for your money.

Food, was not bad, but definitely overrated. Portions are big enough. Meat is ok. Nothing special in taste. Problem starts when you want to pay. Cash only. No receipt. Like in third world country. They cheat on taxes. They don’t report anything to IRS. And then real American and Patriots have to pay for that. Will be way to try they food unless they will start to accept card payments and offer prove of purchase. Otherwise, don’t buy there.
