My husband got me the vegan assortment of chocolates for Valentine’s Day and they were GREAT! Such a cool array of unique flavors. I could eat the black current almond one all day. He said the owners were super nice when he was shopping. We will be back.

I found this gem of a chocolate store on my visit to see my grandson last weekend. I googled "chocolate truffles around me" and Chocolat Moderne showed up. Within a couple blocks from my daughter's home, hidden away on the 9th floor is this 20 year old, mostly mail and phone order chocolate store. The owner's husband spent a long time with me explaining all the different kinds of chocolates and gave me several samples to try. Oprah even had them on her list on the front page a few years back, which made their Valentine's orders go crazy. I highly recommend this gem of a chocolate store and will visit on every trip to NYC!

A hidden gem in Flatiron, I would have never found this location without Happy Cow. Located on the 9th floor in the address listed. Sometimes they leave a sign out on the street.
12 beautiful options for vegan. I tried the hazelnut praline which was incredible! chocolate itself is not too sweet which I like, packed with flavor. I also bought a 24 piece with two of each as a gift. It was $99 for the box and a lovely gift.
The Joan, chocolatier has been working out of this location for 20 years. She and her associate was so sweet and helpful. You can also order online!
