Sat on the terrace for lunch. Gazpacho and Tuna Tartare as apps and Veal Piccatine al Limone 2x's. Food was outstanding, Service friendly and attentive. Location memorable. Cipriani never disappoints.
We went for a cocktail before heading uptown for a show. We sat at the bar. Everyone was so friendly, especially Jacq!! He found out it was my birthday and gave us a piece of their amazing meringue cake, and a bellini on the house! He's so knowledgeable about the building and even gave us a tour of the event space without being asked. What a great host, thank you! Wish we could have stayed for dinner. Highly recommend!!
I dine around the world, mostly in Europe, at Cipriani frequently. This dinner was to mark my civil wedding earlier on the day. While the food presentation was perfect as always, the service was pushy by European and indeed by US standards when it came to alcohol. Pouring a USD 250 bottle of wine, which should have been decanted, into quasi water glasses, doesn't do justice to it. The same applies to charging non ordered items to the bill. While eventuality this was corrected...
