Döner Haus Reviews
First time trying both the Chicken & Beef Doner Boxes.I was pleasantly surprised how GOOD everything was! The flavourful meats with fresh veggies and feta, with or without sauces, all combined with the unique bread is a great new dinning experience unlike anything else. I highly recommend giving this a try ! We will definitely be return customers !
The ladies were quite helpful and informative about the food and it's history as well as super nice !
Great food ! We visit every time we are in the city
Order incorrect and despite not being ending to pay for it to be fixed I offered bc extra supplies like containers would be used.
Food was salty, and greasy…..white sauce extra salty and tasted like flat out ranch.
The music coming out of this stand was so loud no wonder there was an error in ordering. If you don’t want to just make the order right…. Or refund it and take the food back, then make it an environment where one could focus. People

Döner Haus offers delicious and flavorful food, with generous portions at a fair price. Their döner kebab is highly recommended, especially the Döner Sandwich, which is made with a fresh, crispy Turkish pide pocket filled with halal chicken, zabiha halal beef, or a combination of both, along with red cabbage, lettuce, tomato, onion, and creamy garlic sauce. The restaurant serves amazing food in a cozy and comforting atmosphere, making it feel like a warm hug. Located near iconic Union Square in New York City, it is a trendy, walk-up doner bar that brings authentic German döner kebab to the East Village.
Customers enjoy sharing the döner sandwich and loaded fries, which are both incredibly delicious. The fries are seasoned with a secret German-Turkish blend, making them a popular choice. Recently, first-time diners have been pleasantly surprised by the Chicken & Beef Doner Boxes, which combine flavorful meats with fresh veggies and feta, offering a great dining experience. While some have noted differences between this döner and authentic options from Germany, like the use of lamb and the quality of the bread, many appreciate the generous portions. The bread has been described as thicker and a bit oily at times, but the overall experience remains enjoyable.
Döner Haus distinguishes itself through its distinct authenticity, 100% halal offerings, and fast, friendly service in a compact kitchen setup. Though there is limited dining space, the welcoming atmosphere makes it a great place for a quick bite. Additionally, the neighborhood is perfect for a leisurely stroll or exploration after a meal.
