This place has been added to my must come back list - everything we ordered was delicious. Fish &chips and toffee pudding were incredible!

App was weak - maybe felt a bit low on the salt, not as flavorful as it could be (oysters, cured mackerel) - cucumber salad w smoked mussels was good tho
Main was a hit - poached cod with chorizo was really good, perfectly cooked and flavorful. Fish and chips can’t go wrong but it was extra crispy and the fish was so soft and tasty.
Oh, the drinks — the non-alcoholic vinegar shrub or something was amazing.
Overall good but not the top of my list.

Ambiance (5/5): The space is so incredibly small which is why the reservations are so hard to get. We managed to get a reservation at 9:30pm! The space is tight but also quaint. Some seating by the chefs prep that overlooks the kitchen.
Service (5/5): Service was on point throughout the meal. Our server provided us with some recommendations as well.
Grilled Oysters (5/5): These were phenomenal, super flavorful, juicy! Get at least 2 per person.
Chilled Scallops (5/5): The sauce is divine. The scallops are soft and complemented from the texture of the melons
Fried Squash Blossoms (4/5): There was a nice crunch to the fried blossoms
Tuna tartare (5/5): So much flavor in this but a tiny piece of bread.
Skate cheeks (4/5): The breading was full of flavor and a hit of spice and sweet.
Scottish Trout (5/5): The trout was so tender and juicy.
Every one of the dishes was packed with different textures and flavor, providing a dynamic bite to each beautiful dish. Expect very small portions for what you’re paying for!

Fish and chips and grilled scallops were fire, skewers great, mussels interesting with varied level of mush/snap amongst the cucumber. Definitely a lean operation for better or worse. Sometimes you have to advocate for yourself to grab front of house attention.

I’m not even a big fan of seafood. But I do enjoy a good fish and chips. Dame did not disappoint.

Overall a great experience. The fish & chips are fantastic, and the tomato sandwich with anchovies was a a close second. We sat at the counter so were able to interact with the kitchen staff, which is always a treat. It's amazing what they're able to do in such a small space. We had a later reselltvation, and the vibe - especially the soundtrack - was perfect for winding down the evening. We will be back.

Every dish here was so good and we really enjoyed them! My personal favorites were the fish & chips, squid skewers, and the cucumber salad! Note that this is a seafood based restaurant so there are no vegan/vegetarian options.
Pros. The food tasted good, fresh and simple. Service was also excellent, friendly, and welcoming. They were kind enough to give me a lil birthday treat despite not ordering dessert which I appreciated. Ordered about 5 dishes: the fish and chips (honestly if you're gonna come for anything, get the fish and chips), squid skewers, grilled oysters, cucumber & mussels salad, and poached cod fish.
Cons: While the food was good and I might come back to try some other dishes, it was sort of underwhelming, especially when you take into account the prices for the portions. My husband and I left still kind of hungry. Everything tasted good but doesn't seem worth it for the price . Nothing tasted AMAZING.

There was nothing wrong with Dame but at the same time nothing stood out. The grilled squid was not flavorful in any way even with the green sauce that was on top. The fish and chips were fine but I did not like the choice of fish and found it to be more gelatinous compared to pollock or cod. There was also a slight bitter taste to all of the fried food, not enough to be off putting but certainly enough to notice. The service was good and they had a nice wine selection.

Lovely little restaurant. This place really cares about quality and flavor. I came for dinner on a Saturday night with my husband and had a wonderful time. It’s quite casual in vibe but you definitely need to book in advance to get a spot. I booked the day before and earliest table wasn’t until 9:30pm.
