Super cozy and intimate space. The entrees and smaller dishes were very good especially the oysters and the uni scallops. The fish fillet was hearty and delicious.
The only dish that was lacking was the kedgeree rice with crab.

I had a really enjoyable meal at Dame. The dining area is super cozy and I remember being really impressed at how efficiently everything operates out of such a small space. Our orders came out very quickly, and our waiter checked in frequently (but not overly so - the correct amount). Aside from the great service and pleasant ambiance, the food was really fantastic. I don't think you could go wrong with anything on the menu, but of course we had to try the fish and chips, and I'm really glad we did. The drinks were amazing too - with the hanky panky being the unanimous table favorite. For dessert we went with the sticky toffee pudding and I'm still thinking about it. I would definitely jump on any opportunity to try this place.

Really don’t want to leave a star review. This was a week I’d also dined at butter and quality Italian so I was really looking forward to it. I was looking forward to this for months and had really high expectations. I don’t think it met those. I did not know it was a small plates restaurant. It could just be culturally not aligned but do you know that treatment you get when you do not order enough or a certain price point….that’s how it felt. The tuna was too salty for my taste but after that critique every dish was then not finished with any salt. The croquettes are good but not great and I just felt that was the tenor of the meal. Good, solid but not great for me. Note** I did not have the fish and chips but it looked great. The dessert portions are small so just be aware. I think if you’re into English pub it’ll definitely be for you. Overall not a place I would return to but some places in the city just aren’t for everyone.

Excellent, cozy seafood bistro with fantastic service, ambience, and of course food. Yes, the fish and chips are divine, as well as the fabulous squid skewers, but definitely try the tuna tartare with bottarga as well as the croquettes. Uni and scallop dish was sublime. Even the bar seating is quite phenomenal as you get served directly by the chefs, and can engage all of your senses.

Obviously you come here for the fish and chips, which is excellent. But don’t skip on the appetizers — would recommend the whitefish croquette, white beans and squid skewers.

An exceptional meal from start to finish. This restaurant has been on my list for a long time and it lived up to my expectations. The highlights for me were the tuna tartare toast, whole sole and squid and scallion skewers. All excellent in their flavour profiles and cook. The sticky toffee pudding was also very good however it is my personal preference to pair it with ice cream or cream as it lightens and contrasts the dessert a bit more. Cannot wait to return and try the rest of the menu.
