The pinnacle of cocktail bars in this country. Excellent staff. My bartender wrote down the recipe of the Sidewinder drink she made me. She nerd-ed out w me over ingredients and ice. It wasn’t busy, but it wasn’t slow either. She cared about the drink, my experience, and somehow was replicating that level of experience for other patrons in an individualized way. Brilliance.
You cannot find cocktails like D&C makes anywhere else. Trust me - I have tried and am still trying. They are on another level with flavor, complexity, ambiance, etc. The East Village location is the classic D&C experience. I will return again and again whenever I am in NYC.
Death and Co - When in doubt stick with a classic. I decided to head back to Death and Co to see how the menu has changed. The last time I was here it had to be 2013 or 2014. Who knows the years blend together when booze are involved. My guide for the night was Dante. Cool guy, great bartender and an incredible jawline.
