I've been coming here for over a decade as it's one of my favorites in Chinatown. I haven't been here during lockdown but my favorite dish is probably the Cantonese style tbone

I have been going to a Cantonese style restaurant at this location since the early 1970's. This week I spoke to Mr. Choy, one of the managers who worked at Delight 28. They had a meeting with the employees this past Monday to inform them this restaurant will not re-open under the current management. According to Mr. Choy the only banquet sized restaurants surviving are Golden Unicorn on East Broadway and Cam Fung on Elizabeth Street. My wife and I hung out at this restaurant before I headed to work at 2 pm at the Manhattan Supreme Court and we have made acquaintances with many of the waiters and waitresses. We passed out many red envelopes in February not realizing this would be the final time we would see these folks. If you're reading this, please patronize your favorite restaurant so that you won't see a "For Rent" sign next time you visit. Good luck and be well.

Horrible service, food are not even worth the money. Will never go back. Every single waiter and all managers have altitude. Feeling unease for the whole dinner stay.

Came here for our yearly Chinese New Year celebration with Dim Sum. Lots of food in rotation for you to choose from, festive environment, the costumes are an extra treat ;)

If i could give them a no star I would! Manager REFUSED to put our family of 9 at a larger table. They wanted to seat us by the door when it's 39 degrees outside. And we had kids with us. We pleaded kindly to have our table switched but he said no when we clearly saw 3 large tables inside EMPTY!!!! If this is how they want to start off Chinese New Year with a bad review then so be it!

This place is the worst. Bad customer service!! The place is empty and they refused to seat us saying that they didn't have room except for the table by the door. Then they threw the ordering form onto the table and walked off. We asked nicely for a table away from the door so that our young children won't be hit by the cold air, and they said "it's this table or nothing. You could leave. Happy new year." And that was from the manager. Don't ever come here, I wouldn't be surprised if they spit in your food.

Good dim sum place with pushcarts. Handicap toilet on first floor.

The place is just a hole in the wall, which are often the best Chinese restaurants. It will never win an award for cleanliness but it was well lit and busy. The service was quick and attentive. The food was good, nothing wrong with it but it did not jump out with taste. The prices were quite friendly and the portions were fair.

After shopping for a while, we decided to try out the popular dim-sum place on Mott Street called Royal Seafood but the wait was too much and a large party was going to be there at 2pm. My mom and cousin have eaten at this place before and we decided to try it on Pell Street called Delight 28. It's not a fancy place but at least wasn't crowded. We got a shared table with 2 other patrons. The staff were still going around with the dim-sum carts. My mom picked out a plate of shumai (steamed pork & mushroom dumplings ), hargow (shrimp Cantonese dumplings) and chicken feet. Since my partner doesn't eat seafood or pork, he ordered the beef chow fun with bean sprouts surrounded by Chinese broccoli. It was delicious and not to greasy. These just hit the spot before we continued shopping. If need be that the dim-sum places are full again, we'll come back here.

Very brightly lit large restaurant featuring more traditional Chinese dim sum plus safer choices for westerners. We had the latter and it was not bad but a bit boring.
