I have been going to a Cantonese style restaurant at this location since the early 1970's. This week I spoke to Mr. Choy, one of the managers who worked at Delight 28. They had a meeting with the employees this past Monday to inform them this restaurant will not re-open under the current management. According to Mr. Choy the only banquet sized restaurants surviving are Golden Unicorn on East Broadway and Cam Fung on Elizabeth Street. The place is just a hole in the wall, which are often the best Chinese restaurants. It will never win an award for cleanliness but it was well lit and busy. The service was quick and attentive. The food was good, nothing wrong with it but it did not jump out with taste. The prices were quite friendly and the portions were fair.
