The drinks and atmosphere are great but the service is so poor. The baristas are straight up mean to customers. Also you can’t get any drinks an hour before closing, just water. It’s such a bummer that the service sucks because the places itself is so relaxing and lovely to work in.

I had been a regular customer since this café first opened, coming here 2–3 times a week for a few years. I always dined in and usually stayed about 30 minutes to read. However, the owner never once greeted me.

One day, while I was dining in as usual, they pointed at me and accused me of not paying for my meal two days earlier. Since I always dine in, any payment issue should have been raised at the time. The owner checked my card records on my phone and interrupted my meal for about 30 minutes. My bank transactions with about a one-day delay between purchase and posting, so the owner insisted I hadn’t paid. I paid because I didn’t want to deal with the situation anymore. The money wasn’t the issue. As a long-time customer, I felt they could have handled it in a much kinder and more respectful way, and honestly, it felt discriminatory.
Even though time has passed, I’m still uncomfortable because I had never experienced something like that before. On my friend’s recommendation, I decided to leave this review so others don’t have the same experience.

The coffee and food are good, but because of this, I’m giving it one star.

Enjoyed every visit here as will continue to comeback every time I’m in the area. The cappuccino with chocolate covered biscotti is a phenomenal duo.

Amazing coffee but their hours aren’t correct or something. Multiple times I have showed up at 2:30/3 and they are closed..

Italian coffeeshop with a Brooklyn-vibe. They serve the common array of espresso drinks and a few Moka pot brews. The napoleatana and the cafe siciliana were both great moka brews in their own right: the former was a solid, traditional but almost medium Italian coffee, while the latter was lighter due to the oat milk. Their coffee is self-roasted different profiles than what you’ll find in Italian coffeeshops in West village. I recommend checking this shop out and trying the moka brews.

Beautiful space, and there are bathrooms and free Wi-Fi. I'd definitely recommend checking this place out. They do make and sell their own beans here! There is plenty of indoor seating and a few tables / chairs in the front (on sidewalk) as well.

I was underwhelmed with my cinnamon roll, even though they warmed it up for me, so I will skip it next time. Got a delicious cappuccino, and Jamie got a macchiato. He also got the “rock and roll bagel” which had prosciutto, jam, avocado, and Brie cheese- it was very delicious.

I love this place. A true gem in the neighborhood -which I have just moved to recently. I come here almost every morning now, after dropping my daughter to school. Chill lounge misic vibes and informal setting for reading and waking up into the day….with a couch / lounge area.

And the coffee - always lovely..made with care and intention.

I have found my cafe place in the Hood!

This place is awsome for working, enjoying their impressive coffee's and other flavourful snacks, service is excellent- felt like I'm well taken care of , presentation of dishes in their real italian way! Will be coming here more often!I really loved their big dining area which is well lit by the sunrays coming through the glass roof.Tried their Hot chocolate and Marrachino...well above expectation!

Great coffee and food, but a weird place to spend any amount of time to do work or meet a friend - I was there on a Monday afternoon and maybe that's not the best time, as there was literal construction going on, and they left a door open for like 25 minutes while deliveries were coming in, so it got very cold.

Every time I come here, it’s about a 30 minutes wait to get the Italian Moka, even though they said it would be 15mins. And it’s usually with the young girl at the front. Didn’t even apologize or anything. Not sure if it’s different with another barista.
