We went to DK's before the Knicks game on a Saturday night. The food, owner, staff, and atmosphere were amazing. We started with an old-fashioned for me and an espresso martini for my wife. For starters, we both ordered the sweet potato puree soup with creme fraiche. For the main course, my wife had the sea bass, and I had the salmon. We shared the apple tart for dessert, and it was the perfect ending to a fantastic dining experience. The food was absolutely amazing, and the service was outstanding! This will be our regular dining spot before all MSG events!

Kind, friendly, professional, knowledgeable and attentive staff. Delicious meal and terrific dessert. Highly recommend dining here!
I love DKs. Been going here for 6+ years now and finally thought to write a review. The owner is always there greeting guests and the waiters are always very attentive and helpful. The food is always hot and fresh. Great steaks, seafood, appetizers, sides, wine, and well made mixed drinks.
Can't say I've ever had a bad meal there. It's not the most luxurious restaurant in the area but it might be favorite. The dining room has a very old school classy feel to it, but without feeling stuffy. Upscale casual is the best way to describe it.
It's a great spot for a meal after work or before a concert / sporting event at MSG. You'll see people in business casual clothes and you'll see people wearing Rangers jerseys with their kids. There are a few private areas if you want to host a large dinner or event.
Prices are very very fair for the area.

EXCELLENT!!! First off let me let me say that I'm a former restaurant owner, and I see things that the average guy does not ... We had a really great time at DK restaurant. Will be such a pleasure to find a restaurant close to Madison Square Garden venue that's not trying to rip you off , has good fresh food, and actually care if you're having a good time. The menu selection is excellent, my Delmonico steak was perfect, my wife's chicken dish was also superb. And I must complement the management, the entire staff, Busser, Bartender, Server and Host, which I later found out is also the owner were all excellent! I will definitely be back again and will recommend DK to all my friends. Great job everyone at DK and Merry Christmas 🎄 JF
Rude staff. Not spoken to when walked in restaurant with a reservation. Rude lady at bar serving.
Our visit was very disappointing due to poor service and lackluster food quality. Our entrees took over an hour to arrive, seemingly forgotten until we mentioned our time constraint. This led to a rushed, unenjoyable meal. The food itself was mediocre; my Caesar salad had wilted lettuce, and the Steak Frites was chewy. The experience did not live up to the positive reviews we read online. We hope this feedback helps the restaurant address these clear operational inconsistencies.
I had a booking for just after 5pm on a Wednesday and the restaurant was already busy but getting much busier again when I left about 50 minutes later to catch a train to Newark. It was an enjoyable meal with prompt and attentive service throughout. The food was very good; the Ribeye was pretty good and the DK potatoes were delicious. The creamed spinach had a really nice flavour but the texture caught me off guard as it was akin to a puree. Both sides were sizeable and I could only eat about half of each, pity I wasn't more hungry. Overall I would certainly recommend.
Food is ok, a bit salty for me. The chef -special fish is dry. The server touched inside of the teapot lid when he served my hotty toddy. I will not come back.
The team at DK's was the best.. We hosted a number of clients there and they couldn't have been more helpful. The service and food were top notch!! Looking forward to going back soon.

I tried this restaurant with my family before a New York Rangers game, and I should’ve known something was off the moment we walked in. Despite the other restaurants in the neighborhood being crowded, there were only four people at the bar and barely half the tables taken. Unfortunately, the meal confirmed our worries.
From the appetizers to the entrees, everything was a disappointment. The overpriced steak had absolutely no flavor—easily one of the worst I’ve ever had—and every side dish seemed to be smothered in Parmesan cheese instead of having any real seasoning or balance. Nothing about the meal stood out in a positive way.
Overall, it was a letdown from start to finish, and I wouldn’t recommend it, especially if you’re looking for a good meal before a game. I did notice a nice Irish Pub directly across the street.

Hands down my favorite steakhouses in NYC. I have visited multiple times and the steaks are amazing every time. Dennis is phenomenal and always ensures everything is just right.

The worst dining experience I’ve had in NYC.
Please ensure you have enough high chairs available before seating families with babies. The owner was present, and I believe he knew the high chairs were already fully occupied. Instead of being upfront, he kept giving excuses such as “the high chair might not be suitable for the baby” and “let me see what I can get for you.”
For context, our baby is 9 months old, and we’ve been to many restaurants — none have ever told us their high chair was “not suitable.”
Because we assumed they were genuinely arranging a high chair for us, we went ahead and ordered our food while waiting. Otherwise, we would have left. After waiting for about 15 minutes with no high chair, a waiter came and told us they had no high chairs available as they were all being used. This was confusing and frustrating, because when I went back to the owner — who had earlier promised to get us one — he suddenly managed to bring out a high chair.
So why did the waiter tell us they were out of high chairs? The inconsistency and lack of honesty made us feel completely disrespected.
We simply hope that next time, you show proper respect and consideration when seating customers with infants. Don’t put us in a corner, say “I’ll be right back with a chair,” and leave us holding a baby for an extended time with no proper seating. Honest communication and basic courtesy go a long way.

This spot creates dishes that make you stop and notice. They serve wonderful dishes that are fairly priced. The team members were exceptionally warm, refilling drinks promptly and checking that everything met our expectations. DK Restaurant NYC didn't match the hype I read about. I had a nice time at this spot.
