Terrible service. They did not respect our reservation. As we arrived they told us all the (empty) tables were taken. We had to leave.

Have been here twice this summer & had a great meal and experience both times. Was waited on both times by Pamela and she gave amazing recommendations and great service. The chicken schnitzel and bread are especially delicious!

Server forgot to include two items we ordered but everything else turned out great for our birthday celebrations. We have been coming back almost every year since you opened.

Disappointing experience at a place that promises more. We reserved specifically for the garden but weren’t told it wouldn’t be available—only to be met with conflicting excuses and no setup in sight. Felt like an afterthought despite a large bill and multiple bottles ordered. Staff rushed us, even interrupting a heartfelt speech. Not the experience you'd expect from a top-tier restaurant.

We were racially profiled. The waiter - tall big guy with dark hair - came over and said we have to order food and drinks if we want to sit in the lobby area without being hotel guests. We explained that we have been there many times and order plenty of drinks (didn’t want food because we just had lunch) and he said no “it’s the weekend we require you to both eat and drink.” Meanwhile it’s a Friday (not the weekend) and people seated around us told us he didn’t say the same thing to them. We’ve been here many times, this was never the rule. Sorry but you just can’t get away with this type of pretentious behavior anymore.

My wife and my experience at Dirty French was great! We were here for brunch and the atmosphere was perfect for a nice Sunday early afternoon. We had the eggs Benedict with bacon (delicious!) and their French toasted croissant special. Adele made us feel very comfortable and was plenty attentive without being overbearing. Will be back next time we’re in the area on a Sunday morning

Amazing food experience. Rarely have I been so excited to move from one course to another. Definitely a place to impress.

By far one of the most underrated burgers in the city. Served with a mustard sauce on toasted brioche, the attention to detail was amazing. Fries were also crispy with a good potato bite. 10/10

I had brunch in the hotel garden and couldn’t have been more pleased. The server was attentive and kind, the food (pancakes and 2 deviled eggs) blew me away, and the atmosphere in the garden was immaculate. I have no idea what the restaurants main dining room is like, but if you have a chance to sit in the garden, you should.

Dirty French had one of the best dishes on their menu...Chicken and Crepes! The chicken was cooked two ways: the dark was fried and served with two delicious dipping sauces and the white meat chicken to be served on the crepes was served in an herbed white sauce not to be missed! The dish was designated for two but could easily serve three. The bread served with dinner was also buttery and melt-in-your-mouth amazing. Our waitress recommended an excellent white burgundy at an great price point which was much appreciated. Best meal we had in NYC!

Our last stop before heading home. Food and service were excellent. Also, enjoyed the open Parisian feel of the restaurant.

I’ve visited this restaurant many times and even celebrated my birthday here more than once. It used to be my favorite place.

Today, I ordered the calamari, which used to be on the same menu. But what I received was completely different. Instead of the sautéed calamari with tomatoes and other ingredients, as described on the menu and how it used to be served, I was given deep-fried battered calamari — something I did not expect or ask for.

My favorite dish was also no longer on the menu. On top of that, I was charged extra, and the service felt indifferent, almost cold. I didn’t feel welcome at all.

I’m really disappointed. I came back expecting the same great taste and experience I used to love, but unfortunately, I left with a very negative impression. This place used to be special to me — now I’m not so sure anymore.
