Really good pineapple bun - fluffy white bread, slightly sweet, with generous crispy bolo topping. I got two mini buns for $2.25.
Wife cake (lo por beng) was average. Cash only. Would come again for the pineapple buns or try other buns.

Highly recommended, everything was fresh and good, not expensive. Remind me my childhood with cantonese breakfast

Been coming here since the late 90s. It is one of the very few places in New York that is traditional, old, sweet and where you suddenly realize time is nonexistent

We stopped by this afternoon got two Mickey Mouse Cakes for our grand kids, just look at how employee packed our cakes!!!
If you like sitting among actual Chinese people, this is a good place. The locals buy and eat here, what other compliment does a bakery need. Cash only, and I missed the sign when I ordered a coffee. A man watching the scene asked how much I need and offered to pay for me. This gets extra points for being sweet and kind. Turns out I did have enough change for the coffee with me --$1.50. All sorts of buns, egg custard, white bread, coconut cream buns. Baked right here in the back. Gift boxes ready if you are shopping for a celebration. Juices, smoothies, coffee, teas, bubble tea. One table with seats for eating in. Modest, quiet, the place seems clean and we'll organized. I'm having coffee with milk only and it's surprisingly glorious.

I went in for a dessert after a long day. The Milk Cream Bun was amazing: the texture was soft and puffy, the cream was deliciously buttery, and the coconut on top was a nice touch. Also, the staff is welcoming and kind. This place is worth a visit if you want a tasty dessert.

I went for a few egg tarts, but found them all oddly salty and a bit hard, which is the opposite of what I expected.
I also tried the red bean slushie to wash the taste out, but realized it's a bit thick with a fragments of ices. Luckily, it's not too sweet

I came here after seeing several videos about their famous egg tarts. When I arrived, they had just run out, so I waited about 10 minutes for the next batch to come out of the oven. The tart was good — warm, with a nice texture — but not something I would go out of my way for again, and definitely not something I’d have a second of or take home. This is a cash-only spot, so be sure to bring cash. Service was fine — not rude, but very direct and straightforward when taking orders.

I tried the gojiberry osmanthus which is like gojiberry jello slice cake - i quiet liked it. Definitely a healthier option to traditional desserts :)

One of my go-to bakeries to stop by when I'm in Chinatown ever since I was younger. The tofu spot next door is there too as well! Classic comfort pastries, but can't forget their egg tarts.
