Great ambience. Cool setting. It was recommended on a Broadway blog so we thought it was going to be super touristy but the vibe was totally opposite of that. Great food, great service, great cocktails. we ordered a bunch of appetizers and shared. Loved the croquettes. Can't miss on the grilled cheese and tomato soup. should've added bacon but forgot. burrata, brisket sliders, and bao buns were all tasty as well.
Innovative brunch menu and food was very good. However my views were tainted by the service. It looked like not enough staff were available (2 servers for all the tables). It was 55 minutes from arrival to getting food. Once we were served we never saw the waitress again; no stopping by to see if everything was OK, no refills on coffee. At the end I was surprised at the credit card service charge. I'm used to it but I expect a notice in advance. This was not mentioned on the menu
Best espresso martini I've had in a long time - maybe ever! Delicious Wagu sliders and attentive service made it a great spot before a show!
Everything was wonderful, as usual. We love the drinks, food, music, ambience, and perfect location when seeing a Broadway show. The only thing we were disappointed about was that the mac n' cheese was taken off the menu. That was our favorite!
Angel at the door is the perfect person any service-oriented establishment would want to greet its guests. An absolute delight! The bartender could use a little personality. Never saw a smile or an attempt to mildly engage, other than taking our order. While we don't depend on the bartender to entertain us, a little more than the minimum requirements would be nice. We've always loved this place and will be back.
nice gf options. food delicious service was good. was quiet when we got there but then got quite loud around 5 pm on a weeknight. location was great.
We are nearly regulars here when we are in the city. This place has a great vibe, even though when busy it can be loud. The servers are hit or miss. Sometimes they are great and other times disappear. All there small bite menu is very good with exception of the wings.
The vibe was energetic and inviting. The restaurant was adorned with decorations for the Christmas season which added to the vibe. The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was very good -- I recommend the shrimp with chili sauce and the fish tacos. The cocktails were well prepared and very tasty as well.
Very friendly staff. The food was ok. They seemed to be struggling serving the tables but were very accommodating and helpful. The atmosphere and music was amazing! I would definitely go back.
Dutch Fred's was decent for lunch with the exception of the Kale Caesar Salad which was $19.00 and could feed a bird it was so small. Had I known, I would have ordered the Avocado BLT or Burger since they were portioned much better and around the same cost.

We've dined here several times when we've come into the city and have always appreciated the quality of Dutch Fred's. Offering "big bites" has increased the range of dining options, while old favorite of ours such as the pork belly buns and eggplant chips are still on the menu. The drink and wine menu are extensive and have lots of quality choices. The only thing we miss (a little) are desserts. We will certainly be back!
We had a catch up dinner post Theater, started at the bar, which was lovely. I had told the host that we were sitting there and to come and get us when the table was ready, but because of a shift change, she must've forgotten so someone called to let us know the table was ready when we finally were sat. It took 10 minutes for the server to come over and get our food and drink order. Beyond that everything was so lovely and our waitress Michelle was wonderful.
Great vibe inside for Christmas. Well decorated. Angel at the front is good and helpful. Sat at the bar. Service was slow, sub-par. I literally don't think they listen. The burger was overcooked. I would go back for a drink, but not to eat. High point: the espresso martini. It's probably the best I've ever had. Again, good place to sit and chat with friends for drinks. But don't spend $50 on an uber ride from the West Village to get to 47th street for Dutch Fred's to be a bit disapponted. It's a "when convenient" type of joint.
Food and ambiance was wonderful. Fun atmosphere. Good for kids and adults. Service was just ok
This was an awesome restaurant especially at Christmas with how it was decorated. Food and service was wonderful and my son who is a 21 yo college student enjoyed the $30 bottomless mimosa! This restaurant has also been around since 1937! It's stood the test of time!
