Good place for produce but packaged items are overpriced

Great place to pick up some produce/snacks. They have a fresh/organic smoothie/juice section along with soups that they make daily. Staff is always friendly and welcoming as well. Overall a great neighborhood store.

i shopped here for years and just had the most awkward convo with the manager i asked where the dates were from and he said they are from israel (quite defiantly!) and he continued on to say the shop carries a lot of israeli products though the owner is from Lebanon, he doesn’t care and that the food should not be politicalIsrael deliberately killing civilians in massive numbers is criminal, not political and no state should get away with it. but the manager was quite hostile so be aware that this shop carries plentiful of israeli products and does not care…i understand a lot of health food products such as dates hummus olive oil sesame bars and many more are from israel but there are huge ripple effects through out the world started in palestine and everyone of us must go through deep reckoning. hope they will come around…

Amazing store with so much choice and high quality products. It feels exactly how an authentic organic store should (not a fake one trying to be trendy!) and the people were super helpful and friendly. A real gem; I love it!

prices vary from okay to obscenely high, don't be fooled by the "mom and pop" feel here. staff will ask you to return items to where they were if you decide on not getting them at the register and won't bag your items for you if you bring your own, its like if the worst parts of a co op and a whole foods had a child.
The staff is friendly and helpful. The selection is great and the produce is always fresh and tasty. Not sure why they have been getting negative reviews recently. I suspect it's newcomers to the neighborhood. This place has always been quality and the staff authentically courteous. The East Village is a tough place to run a business but they do it with grace and kindness. I hope they hang in there! We need to preserve and support our small businesses here!! They make the East Village the oasis that it is.

This place has gone so far downhill over the past year is crazy. They call themselves 'organic', but now it's only the produce. There are many, many non organic items on the shelves now. Panera bread bagels? Milk Bar ice cream? Give me a break. Stop calling yourself 'organic', you are just a supermarket now.The prices have gotten so high it's laughable. I don't know what planet they live on where people are going to deal with being gouged so badly. For what they charge you think they would be at least friendly or polite, but no, they are the most sullen bunch of workers you will ever encounter. When you ask one of them to ring you out, they sigh and roll their eyes, give me a break.On top of that there are always homeless people outside panhandling and they do nothing to remove them. Getting harassed to go in and out is not a good look. Today I was trying to leave and they had the doors locked because 2 employees were holding down a shoplifter, and taking produce out of his underwear and putting it back on the shelf. That was the last straw for me, I'm done with this place.

Save your hard earned money ! This establishment has 6 major problems !1. Exorbitant prices for everything on their shelves2. Customer Service is about as low as it comes ( being an organic market, one would think that the staff would be very knowledgeable and on top of their game to be in the service industry )3. Their system of delivering you your extremely expensive juice or smoothie is horrible! ( the cashier or the juicer doesn’t call out your name, or the drink, when it’s ready !4. The cashier and managers don’t seem to care at all about making sure you wait for you expensive drink !5. Nobody, and I mean NOBODY, who works there smiles at you or asks you if you need assistance, ever !6. If you do ask for assistance or customer service, it comes with sad faces, as if they are doing you a favor! Give me a break !AT THESE HIGH PRICES IN THE EV .. I’ll NEVER return or give the poorly managed staff and overpriced market costs my hard earned money ever again ?????? BEWARE

EXCELLENT juice bar! Delicious! However the older guy there was very rude and insensitive. I brought my neighbors here who are 92 and 93 yrs old. They asked where they should order and this guy says “read the sign”. But for the elderly their site is very limited. They could not see the sign. He could have EASILY just said “order at the register”. But his snarky tone was unnecessary. As I said the juice was great. And our neighborhoods could use more places like this. I will for sure go back. But the guy really needs to have a better understanding of how to treat his customers. This shop could have easily gotten a 5 star review if not for the rude guy
