It was very close to our hotel, and we took advantage of it a few times, it is practically in front of Madison Square Park. Here in Turin Eataly offers a lot of choice and in New York I found the same research into details and fresh, excellent quality products. Lavazza coffee in different variations to try the Torinese almost a typical Moroccan from Turin. Excellent choice from savory to sweet, very large indeed. Possibility to have an aperitif with live music. Fresh pastries, restaurant and pizzeria as well as ready-made take away based on the choice from vegetables to meat and fish. Where 5th and Broadway meet we find yellow umbrellas dedicated to the area (Flatiron Nomad) they can be found throughout the area, with chairs and tables to sit and eat or chat and drink something, with the possibility of also buying some delicious ice cream at the Eataly kiosk. Interesting prices and not too high.

Lots of incredible food.I had the focaccia with onions on it (pictured). I'd say it's sort of normal tasting, but I also can't stop shoving it in my face. It's like bread, but better. Addictive.I had all the chocolate truffles from the truffle station which don't have dairy in them. You can see them in the photos. They varied a little but were all dark chocolate, so they tasted good but not much better than chocolate usually does. The candied orange and the 75% dark ones were my least favorite. I sometimes like candied orange and extra dark chocolate, but not these. The rest were tasty, but I don't have a strong opinion about buying them vs a regular dark chocolate bar.

We arrived fairly early this Saturday morning, no waiting at all, and just the best service. I found some nice pesto, some wonderful capers, and sun dried tomato spread. Now just have to ship it home, as I wasn’t planning for any of this to fit in already crowded luggage.

I buy lots of fruits and vegetables they are always very fresh. Prices are up because of inflation. When I need my Italian snack fix this is my go to place.

The lady working at the gelato corner (the scooper) was very rude and was making facial expressions as disturbed when clients were ordering gelato.

I WAS FOLLOWED BY SECURITY because i was "picking things up and putting them down" I confronted the security guard "are you following me?" and he doubled down. "Yes, b/c you only bought one lemon and you're acting weird and you paid for it but then came back in the store.†I could not believe this was happening. In the past, I have bought black truffles, white truffles, wine, a mandoline... and this has never happened until today. When I spoke to two different managers, they defended the rude employee who so obviously followed me. I knew I was being followed by 2 men in all black that communicated by walkie talkie. I was very indecisive in my shopping, but if you have been to this location, you know it’s an overload for the senses and I was actually trying to stay within a budget. I settled on the one item, but planned to come back after going to Home Depot across the street. But once I checked out, I was pretty sure I had been profiled. I exited. I steeled my nerves, and I went back in. I had to know for sure. Indeed, they were. But, now it felt confrontational. And it was. That’s when I inquired. The guard seemed unnerved by my style of shopping and when I realized that we were not going to have a rational conversation I asked to speak to his boss. And upper management basically said this is what we do. I suggested a bag check. I asked do you have your black security guards follow non-black people and he assured me yes, they actually followed a white chef around earlier that day for doing the same: picking things up, looking at them and putting them down. Shopping. Worst part is: the guard never apologized and continued to smugly disrespect me in front of his boss. I eventually had to ask the boss if I could speak to him in private so I could speak without being interrupted and insulted by the guard.Just know that if you shop here you will be followed and they will be unapologetic. I want to leave this here as I feel completely helpless in my pursuit of fairness and humanity. This isn't racism. Just a lack of humanism.

I was here earlier in the day and got ice cream which was good and had to come back later in the day to get other chocolate so i asked the worker what time they closed and she told me 11pm but when i came back at 10:40pm the doors were locked and while ppl were leaving the security guard wasn’t letting anybody in, while many people were trying to go inside. I had to call the store to get someone from the kitchen in the restaurant to come open the door. the workers at the front are the worst and laziest ever .. look at the lazy worker on his phone.

A nice way to visit Italy in New York. A lot of nice, authentic Italian options.

Love the food. Excellent service. Veggies look fresh. You can get everything Italian here, as well as household basics such as yogurt and eggs. The selection of restaurants is notable.

You pay a lot of money here, which is completely understandable. However i expect to get food that doesn't look like it was ripped to pieces and then thrown back together
