Amazing bagel. I got a pumpernickel raisin bagel with walnut raisin tofu spread. It was a huge bagel with a generous spread of tofu. The bagel was tender and fluffy, and it was the strongest pumpernickel bagel I've ever had - it was so dark it was almost black. The tofu spread was also delicious. I'm sure a sweet tofu spread might sound weird to some people, but this didn't have a "beany" taste at all. I got there around 8 am and there was actually no line so I was in and out with warm bagel in hand very quickly.

Really good bagels. I typically get turkey, egg and Swiss cheese with walnut raisin cream cheese. It’s so good and quite filling

This was a tasty bagel no doubt, but I’ll never understand why places glob all the cream cheese right in the Center rather than spreading it across the bagel.

Best tasting bagels in NYC hands down and great staff. Bonus: they’re also the most organized. Don’t let the long lines on weekends fool you, they are very quick and always get it right.

Egg and cheese is so bad. They microwave their stuff it tastes SO bad. I feel bad for people who think this is a good place.

don’t understand how y’all are a bagel company and you don’t have a working toaster lmao also an egg and cheese (that got thrown into a microwave) for $7 is criminal

I'm in town visiting my sister and she decided this was the bagel shop where I should try my first New York bagel. We split a cinnamon raisin bagel with apple cinnamon cream cheese. Wow!! It was so yummy! I'm thinking a second visit is in order! The best part was people watching from the coziness inside. I also love small talk and I'm nosy so we struck up a conversation with an 8th grade teacher on his lunch break. Idk, it was just a sweet conversation in a fun place! Highly recommend Ess-a-Bagel!

I’m not confident these are the best bagels in the city.
Though, they are big and hearty. They are nice and satisfying.
There is seating available here. The service could have been friendlier.

The bagels were amazing and very big! But it was hard to locate all items on the menu and the ordering process felt very rushed.

Great neighborhood bagel spot
My sesame bagel just a hair over cooked. But generally solid no nonsense bagel.
