Nice spot with many good shops and eateries inside. Clean toilets and a mezzanine area which is a nice quiet escape where you can eat food or find a quiet place to study or escape some bad weather.
Essex Market is one of the best food markets in NYC with an amazing variety of local vendors, fresh ingredients, and delicious food options. The atmosphere is vibrant, clean, and full of energy. From fresh produce and seafood to baked goods and international cuisine, there’s something for everyone. The vendors are friendly, and the overall experience feels authentic and welcoming. A must-visit spot for food lovers in New York City!
I don't know what happened to this place, but I came here for their record store downstairs and when I walked in, there was no longer a downstairs. The record store was moved upstairs, and it was so small, that it felt too crowded from like 5 people in there and I barely got to browse the sections I wanted. Other portions of this place felt mashed together due to everything being moved upstairs. Whatever they're doing downstairs, I hope they finish up soon.
