Don’t go here! Super disappointed in this restaurant. Not only were we berated from the waiter for not taking our leftover food to-go (I was leaving town the next morning but also don’t feel like I should have to explain myself?), but I realized we were way over-charged after reviewing my receipt. My friend and I shared two entrees and a mocktail, which should have been around $70-75. Our bill pre-tip was $136. I tried emailing the management email in these reviews and haven’t heard back. It’s also worth mentioning that our truffle parmesan dish was watery and flavorless. There’s a reason not many people were inside - avoid.Edit: they emailed me back and never reimbursed me.

My dining experience at this restaurant was extremely unpleasant. The hospitality here is awful. Firstly, the server took an excessively long time to take our order and bring drinks. We requested a glass of Chardonnay and expressed interest in a bottle for our table. However, he brought a "similar" bottle of Chardonnay without confirming with us first. After opening the bottle, he insisted, "It's similar. It's similar." Despite the prolonged wait, we reluctantly accepted the bottle without complaint. While we tried to be understanding of the apparent busyness of the restaurant, it became evident that the server neglected our table. We unintentionally spent a total of 2.5 hours here due to the wait. It took him 20 minutes to bring the check, long after other tables had cleared, and he imposed a 20% gratuity charge on our bill, despite our party consisting of only three people. This incident occurred during dinner service on March 14th, with the server identifiable by his cowboy hat and spangled bomber jacket.

A very nice little restaurant with a great atmosphere. The gentleman tending the bar was fabulous, he even made is custom cocktails based on unique likes and dislikes. We had a great time and will be back soon.

The sole amandine was a good preparation and would have been delicious except the fish was undercooked and lukewarm. Only one person was waiting on the entire room, taking drink orders and food orders and was hard to get his attention to order another drink and to place food order.

I made a reservation 2 weeks in advance. We showed up at 7pm, the time of your reservation and waited 40 minutes to be seated. The maitre de seemed disinterested but eventually bought us a drink (at 7:30pm) for the protracted wait time. The service was cold, not friendly. There seemed to be only one waiter and he was overly focused on being efficient. The food is very good and the prices are not ridiculous so it's definitely a good value. But this places loses a lot of points for their ambivalent attitude toward their customers.

I came here on a Saturday night with four others for the first time since the pandemic. We dined in-doors and the restaurant is chaos; cramped quarters, packed with people, loud, and servers scurrying around in any open path way. Despite this, our food did not disappoint. I had the lobster ravioli and it was delicious. Everyone enjoyed their meals for the most part; the salads were disappointing. The service was slow, infrequent, and hurried… likely a result of the previously mentioned chaos. Most of the food was yummy, the location is prime west village charm, and it feels very New York. I would recommend and I would go back, despite some of the strong negatives. Also, the prices are not stupid expensive like many of the restaurant’s neighbors. It was a nice time.

Warning - Be careful if you make a reservation at Extra Virgin. 1.5 hours before my res., the “general manager” cancelled it, without a phone call or even an email. This was on Jan 15. Reason: he wanted to close the restaurant because there weren't enough reservations. All I received was a cancellation notice from Open Table saying Extra Virgin cancelled it. I used to love dining there. After “Nes” cancelled us without even a courtesy call, not again.

Extra Virgin a cute chic spot in the West Village. Chic interior and a few great tables outside in front of the restaurant in the summer. Great for people-watching or running into friends. An afternoon drink and a bite to eat with friends is why this restaurant was created The food is delicious although I think the menu needs some additions. The Tuna Tartar is delicious. The interior is a little cramped but that's the West Village. Lots of charm and a lively atmosphere. Good service but could be friendlier front of front-of-house people. Please add more inventive vegetarian-friendly dishes.

Lack of attentive service really set the scene for dinner here; my water glass was not refilled a single time, and we were barely checked on. The ambiance is loud and hard to hear your tablemates. The food is overpriced and fine but not extaordinary.

The service was terrible/servers were rude when we mentioned that our food orders were completely incorrect/items missing (after it took forever to come), and then my mother-in-law fell off of a step coming out of the restaurant which was off of a ramp with no signs, nor railings (not sure why there would be a step off of a ramp, defeats the purpose). We had to call an ambulance because she busted her head open and fractured her rib as a result. The food was good but INSANELY expensive, adding chicken to an already overpriced appetizer salad ($17) was and additional $14!!! WOULD NOTTTTTTTTTTT RECOMMEND.
