As a massive fan of quality Italian sandwiches and cuisine, I did all the appropriate research to find the handful of shops my wife and I wanted to try while we were on vacation and this one was at the top of my list. I told myself I would only leave 1 review on this trip and I would only do it if I ate a meal that was truly worth me taking my eyes of the Braves game a few days later. Here we are. (Braves up 1-0 on the Mets btw).My wife and I both had a Chicken parm sandwich with vodka sauce. It was THE BEST SANDWICH I’ve ever had. Nothing more needs to be said. It is the best sandwich I've ever had in my 30 years of life.If you find yourself north of the equator at anytime in your life, do yourself a favor and come get a sandwich here. Buy a plane ticket, take a bus, steal your cousins car, or hitchhike if you have to but make sure you eat a sandwich from this shop during your lifetime. It will be worth it, I promise. Also, to the gentleman at the front in the Retired NY fire department hat… thank you for making my wife and I feel right at home the moment we walked in. I will be back every single time I come to NYC. God bless.

Many things to note upon arriving at Faccio’s. First, this deli is famous and gets very full with tourists around lunch, so beware. Everyone who works here is kind and deserves your patience. Secondly, you may want to consider splitting your hero with a friend because the kind chefs will fill up their freshly baked heroes with a staggering amount of anything they have. Thirdly, if you like a spicy sauce (or gravy) you simply must ask for red pepper flakes. Fourthly, the prices are beyond reasonable when, and only when, considering the sheer amount of meals that one could obtain from a single hero. Fifthly, if you plan to eat any of your hero, bring a cot or sleeping bag, for you will need to take a little nap- even if you did have a military latte from Sawada right before the hero. Finally, buon appetito! ?? Get the eggplant parm and maybe a rice ball. ?

Faicco’s prepares authentic, delicious Italian comfort food in the outskirts of downtown Sarasota. Long time Family run business that still operates in Manhattan and Brooklyn that opened Sarasota a couple years ago. Many of the specialties like Fresh mozzarella and sausages are family made from scratch. As good as it gets!-fred g.

Their sandwiches are excellent and the service super friendly & efficient. The sandwiches are enough for 2 people, but what is really amazing is their veal parmesan which is consistently great every time I have ordered it. Also a two meal portion and cheaper than any restaurant.

Well this may be a great sandwich shop, one of the best sandwich shops in New York City, one of the most iconic sandwich shops in New York City, and a great tourist destinations, it is also a major Italian supermarket that services the local community in many ways. I have an Italian background and I’m used to shopping at these types of market so this was a no-brainer for me as I live in the area. It is always fun to shop with groups of tourists coming in and out with tour guides know the people behind the counter and the people behind the counter get to know you it is really of community sense for a very bustling busy public space.Great prices on meats and cheeses I highly recommend a prosciutto bread.Vegetarian options: Cheeses olives and other condiments are great.
