Very nice inside. We ate in the osteria section. Food was very disappointing for me, especially considering the price. The service felt borderline aggressive. The place was not busy at all, but still felt very rushed and constant interruptions.

Lobster saffron risotto was yummy. Hubby’s red shrimp spaghetti was apparently rather salty for his liking but this is NY. We find NYC’s food quite salty compared to our food back home.Concierge was very kind to offer us a glass of bubbly. We were severely jet lagged and needed somewhere to quickly grab our supper. So we went to this place as it was near from our hotel. It is not the cheapest restaurant in NYC but food quality (lobster was cooked perfectly), service by Genara and Concierge made our dining experience so memorable.The only downside was the restaurant has two dining areas and we were seated in the most inner part. It was highly rowdy..! I wanted a quieter/ more intimate ambience as the restaurant oozes out this romantic atmosphere. Maybe next time?Will def return.

Very odd reception service. Hostess stand was empty when I arrived and finally someone came and told me my table was not yet ready and directed me to the bar. Standing at the bar, I wasn't acknowledged, no menu, nothing. My other party arrived and when we went to check back in, again, empty hostess stand. We were again told the table wasn't ready and we were directed back to the bar. We stood there for at least five minutes, no acknowledgement, no menus, nothing. Very confusing and off putting. Really dampened the mood. The rest of the service in the dining room was excellent.
After initial confusing greetings by host and several other employees we waited close to 10 minutes to receive our actual menus. We did get water and the wine list, but not the dining menu. If you can allow yourself to have a wine pairing with your dinner, it is excellent. Intuitive pairing and lots of good conversation. Som did a great job. Place really picked up with energy as the night went on. By 9:30 pm it was close to packed. We went upstairs for jazz at Barretto. If you're coming to dine here definitely make time to go check out the jazz club upstairs after dinner.

We didn't expect this restaurant to have such a high level of service, but my wife and I were very impressed. Every member of the staff was very professional and prompt, and the young sommelier (the one that moved from Dubai) that helped us was patient and a joy - we saw him interact this way at every table. While we didn't opt for the pre-fixe menu, we found the food elegant, yet sophisticated. The menu has something for everyone so you will definitely have good choices. Overall, this is a very good dining experience.

I always enjoy Fasano as the surrounding are perfect, the noise level is relatively low by New York standards, tables are usually distant enough from one another and for the most part, the food is good. My experience yesterday was not as good. My burrata appetizer was "pretty" but whoever sliced the prosciutto "missed"...little pieces if not bits of inconsequential meat with no taste and disguised by walnuts sauce...burrata was fine. My main course, steak was cooked to perfection (medium rare) but the steak was very tough. I thought the service was timely but indifferent. I could not get the attention of the waiter to get a spoon. Maybe this was a one time thing. I will be back as I hope this is not a trend.
