We had a lovely Christmas morning brunch at the Fiat Cafe!!! We are so glad we found this hidden gem - food was phenomenal (the omelettes are superb) and service was friendly and attentive.
We never actually got to eat there. When we arrived, the gal seating people acted surprised that we had a reservation. I showed it to her on my phone. Rather than seat us, she counted seating walk ins. We waited (outside in the cold) for 30 minutes, with her continuing to say it would just be a few more minutes. I understand that sometimes things happen and wires get crossed, but we should have been seated before the folks who did not have a reservation. What's the point of being on open table if you're not going to honor reservations?
Always a favorite. Been coming here for a decade. Everything is delicious, consistent, and affordable! Such cozy vibes.
The Carbonara was fake and made with heavy cream and bacon. Honestly not too bad either. Not gonna fly with my girlfriend who lived in Italy for a while. The chicken parm sandwich I had was a hit! The bread was so good and the sandwich got partially stolen by, can you guess, my girlfriend 😂 Overall i liked a lot our server was great. I would say to grab a bite there.
Paid fifteen dollars for an oatmeal at Fiat in Nolita after they told me it would take five minutes. I waited fifteen minutes, they forgot my order, and when I finally got it the oatmeal looked sloppy and even had onion in it, like they used the same knife for everything. They also did not include anything to sweeten it. For a place charging premium prices, this was really disappointing.

Hostess was rude to me for having a service dog so I left even though we had a reservation stating we had a service dog in the party.
I told my friends to stay since it was the day before the NYC marathon and it’d be hard to find another reservation. In the minute I left, the hostess told my friends they couldn’t sit there anymore and that she gave the table away.
She was continuously rude to my friends until a waitress took over and apologized.

Loved our time at Fiat! Chelsea was so kind, especially to our 8 year old daughter. We will be back next time we're in New York!
Charming little cafe in the Little Italy. Not cheap, but totally worth it. Great service, excellent food, nice atmosphere.

Casual, comfortable, Italian cafe in soho. The spicy margarita mocktail outstanding. Everything in a cocktail minus the liquor. The calamari amazing. Light, corn meal, fresh seasoned well. Country bread was good. Nice hard crusty bread. The fresh cavetelli pasta with broccoli rabe and spicy sausage nice. Seafood pasta with ref sauce fresh and yummy.
