We showed up on Tuesday 4/22 to a closed restaurant with no notice so we didn't even have the chance to dine. Was very unfortunate and came from out of town to try.

We arrived for our 10pm post theater dinner, after rush 1/2 miles in the cold rain, to be told “someone had cancelled our reservation and the kitchen had closed.” I showed my OpenTable reservation and that it was NOT cancelled, and the maître d said “well yes it was, someone canceled it.” by that time it was too late to get in anywhere for dinner.

Waiter was awesome. If all waiters had that attitude, dining would be so much more pleasant all the time.

Deafeningly loud and impossible to enjoy. As has become all too common in NYC, tables during lunch service are crammed to within inches of one another, causing a never-ending escalation in conversational volume sufficient to rival a jet engine. The food was fine but not worth the halting atmosphere.

This was my first time at Fig & Olive and it was great. I was there for a business dinner but it would be good for any occasion. I had a simple dinner of their butternut squash soup and some salmon with roast vegetables. I opted to get a dessert because they have a lemon olive oil cake with an olive oil semifreddo that is dairy free - a rare find, because most restaurants don't offer dairy free desserts, and if they do, it's usually sorbet, which is fine, and this restaurant had that on the menu also. The entire meal was absolutely delicious and I will keep this restaurant as a go-to when I am in midtown every March.

Wonderful experience. Food was exceptional. They even remembered my children's bday and brought a dessert on the house. Very thougthful. Love this place. I will be back.

Hard to rate the kitchen as we got a salad. But it was good.

Good Mediterranean Food I had in a while.
1. Definitely try to truffle croquettes!
One of the best croquettes I had
2. Good ingredients
their olive oil is really fresh and amazing, making their food also amazing.
3. Wait time was too long
It took 40minutes from appetizers plates taken from main dish served.

Too loud during lunch time. We had to yell at each other to hear ourselves. Maybe it was the table location. But it wasn't very pleasant.

We went for happy hour, decent food & nice cocktails. The service was really spotty. It’s a place to get a bite when visiting

The Fig & Olive restaurant is located on a quiet side street, very centrally located on 52nd Street. It offers Mediterranean cuisine with a very modern twist. The dishes such as crostinis, chicken, Moroccan-style lamb, various mezze, tacos or a sumptuous seafood paella are fantastic, as is the wine selection.
The service is attentive and warm, we were given a great table right by the window. The prices are very democratic by New York standards, you get very good quality for your money.

Conclusion: For lovers of Mediterranean cuisine, Fig & Olive is an absolute must.
