I have been to five senses more than any other restaurant in NYC and have brought countless friends and family here over the years. I’ve been coming here since they opened in 2015.
But lately since early 2025 the quality just isn’t the same. I miss their simple menu. The kimchi fried rice with cheese and the seafood pancake are still pretty good, but dishes like the galbi jim and the seafood tteokbokki don’t have the standout flavor they used to. It also doesn’t...
I was honestly surprised by the ratings for this place... I came on a Friday night and it wasn’t too busy. First time here and it was a really solid experience.

Seafood Pancake: Great pick. Crispy on the outside and packed with seafood inside.

Beef Belly & Mala Cream Noodle Soup: Loved this one. Udon with tender beef and baby octopus… so good!!!

Typical Korean restaurant. Nothing outstanding and a bit bland. Service was fast. Noted that they charge a fee when you use credit card which I did not notice being posted in the store.
