Stylish Mexican restaurant in an old car garage with friendly staff and great food. The owner even stops by tables. Some find the prices high for the vibe, but the birria tacos are a must-try. Despite a fishy smell near tables and pricey chips & guac, the service is kind and helpful. The brisket nachos are delicious and packed with food, and the cheese quesadillas, steak burritos, and pastrami tacos come highly recommended. Excellent margaritas and a solid beer selection make this a great detour near Union Square. The seared shrimp tacos, tortas, and quesadillas are all standout dishes. The staff is knowledgeable and attentive, even remembering drink orders on return visits. The atmosphere is romantic but very dark—flashlights help with the menu.
