Went to Fonda's Chelsea location last Saturday for the first time. The ambiance downstairs is warm and festive; the vibe upstairs is more romantic. The two of us shared the guacamole & chips, the watermelon-cucumber salad, tortilla soup, and grilled shrimp over black beans and rice and were more than satisfied. Been to this location twice and had happy hour (at the bar only) this time. The food and drinks were delicious both times. Friendly and attentive staff but special thanks to Augusto. My friend had an acute medical episode and he was super calm, helped stabilize her and kept checking back on us. Aside from that, we had a great time and look forward to coming back!

This place deserves a review from us. We’ve been coming for years, come enough you get treated like family which is so lovely. We have great memories here and THE FOOD. Brunch is incredible!! We recommend it to friends and its always a hit.

Get the guac for sure, get a cocktail. Theres always music playing. Its a great vibe.
