Nasty 10$ matcha, barista is rude
Good coffee and pastries.đ„
Staff look unhappy
Way too expensive coffee
Pretty bummed. My small iced matcha latte looks like milk. I saw the barista put one tiny teaspoon of matcha in and was concerned. Is that the standard recipe - because mine looked and tasted like milk? This is after I waited in the freezing cold shop and the barista would not even say a word to me. No 'hello', 'what can get I you', or 'you're welcome'. Not a word. $7.00 for this? Nope.
Very rude servers who mumbles and make no effort to actually do their job and take orders let alone help customers
Edit: based on other reviews it looks like this male baristaâs bad attitude is a common issue
Apparently the prices on the wall are the âolderâ prices. They have a little paper on the counter showing the actual prices, which are 25%+ more expensive.
Thatâs deceiving and apparently these prices are not new but havenât been changed on the wall for a few months.
Got a mocha, way too sweet and honestly mediocre quality.
Definitely first and last time I step into this coffee shop.
amazing drinks and the kindest staff
10/28/2024 I got a latte it was not very good, itâs doesnât give out the aroma of an espresso should have, and was bitter. Service was not bad, but it wasnât very good either. For example- my coworker who came with me asked where the straw was and the guy just pointed to it with a straight face. Nothing wrong with that, but we didnât feel welcomed. We worked close by and the chances of us getting coffee somewhere else is very high.

Very mediocre customer service. Croissant wasn't warmed up properly and tasted a bit stale.

Beware of the prices! The cashier charged me $1 more than the price on the menu price on the wall. Similar issue happened to me at their DC location. I need to stop going here
This was my preferred coffee spot as a World Trade Center employee (in Customer Experience) until the ridiculous customer service experience I just had.
I ordered a simple cold brew with half and half on the app during my commute. When I picked it up, the "coffee" was ivory. There was even a reservoir of cream at the base of the cup. It got even lighter as it mixed. I asked for a new one, stating it was way too much cream and minimal coffee. The barista called over the manager, who asked me "what's the problem", in which I explained the above. He asked me why I didn't indicate that I wanted less cream, although that's not an option on the app. He then told me it was wasteful, and to next time order in the store and pour it myself.
"Come to the counter and I'll show you how to order", is exactly what he said. He proceeds to make me a new one, adds a MICRO droplet of cream and says, "how's this?" with a petty attitude. I said perfect, and left, to never return again.
Starbucks, which has much kinder service and arguably better coffee, would never turn down, argue, or question a customer if requesting a replacement. Mind you, the cafe was completely empty on a Monday morning. And my order couldn't have been more simple, a cold brew with cream. For nearly $8 nonetheless...
The only thing wasted was my time, not the cream with a splash of coffee. Go to Birch in Fulton Center. Or Eataly. or Blue Bottle. Or literally anywhere else.
