So I made reservations for this past Saturday for foragers table because it was a recommendation. I get there about 15 mi it's early and I'm looking through the window and it looks as if it went out of business the night before. They were cleaning up what speared to be last nights dinner! So weird. There was a closed sign on the door yet it let me make reservations and Saturday morning it said see you soon! Had to scramble to find somewhere else to eat! So beyond frustrating!!' Get it together foragers!!!
We had four different waiters come to our table during the course of the evening. One was excellent, and the other three were apparently new and still needed quite a bit of training. They seemed to be very confused on how to split an entrée. The food was just OK and very expensive. We will not be going back.
Spent 3 days in NYC and by far the best meal we had. Mussels, ravioli, cacio and Pepe. I have a special place in my heart for perfectly al dente noodles, and I finally feel like I’m understood. 10/10, vibes are an absolute A+
Came here 6 months ago and it was fantastic in all respects. Came again last week and unfortunately the food was nowhere near as good and rather disappointing, though the service was great.
Asked for a bottle of wine - got a glass. Cocktails arrived after the starter. Main arrived just after the starter and the hamburger was raw. To be fair the chicken and kale was great and the burger was comped. Overall a poor experience and staff training should not take place in public during service.
When a kitchen is having a bad day it seems to all come down on one table. We went for Sunday brunch and were surprised by how imaginative the menu looked. My wife liked her egg dish with bechamel and veggies , but that’s the only dish Foragers got right. My Moroccan soft scramble first came out cold, then the second version came out spicy beyond belief and made me physically Ill. The side of bacon was so overcooked that it resembled a tongue depressor. the fried tomatoes might have been fried, but they weren’t breaded - so what’s the point slicing two regular red tomatoes in half, heating them up somehow, and then putting them on a plate? Then the sautéed kale was so overloaded with stems - either they are using bagged kale or a line cook is too lazy to not cut out the tough stems; neither is good. I thought the service was good and they tried to make things right for us when we listed our complaints, but by that point the damage was done. Not recommended.
My friend and I ordered the same drink, but they tasted completely different. The waitress returned multiple times when inputting our order. When the food eventually came out, the salmon was dry and flavorless, and the steak was smothered in an very salty sauce.
Stopped for brunch, good service, good ambiance, would give 3.5 stars overall if I could. We got the pancakes, eggs florentine, and 2 cocktails. Pancakes were OKAY, didn't really taste the ricotta or lemon, but the fruit on top was fresh. Eggs florentine was strange to be honest, was expecting an omlet but got a cast iron skillet with 2 eggs and some unidentifiable veg underneath. But it was seasoned well and had a tasty sauce. Cocktails were solid but nothing spectacular. Will try another spot next time out
Delicious food and great service from Autumn. It was a little warm in there because it was a hot day outside and there is not a lot of separation from the kitchen to the dining room. Tables are close together so it's easy to hear conversations next-door but overall it was an excellent experience
Food was outstanding. Attitude not so much. Stopping for early breakfast with no reservation, there were 12 open tables. The hostess spent 5 minutes contemplating whether she could fit us in. When we said we’d find another option, she found us a spot. Server was arrogant and inattentive. On a positive note, eggs were very fresh, biscuits were delicious and coffee was excellent. Food was great but we won’t be back.

Table was dirty when we sat down. Steak was very salty. We got an appetizer that was essentially a croissant with one cherry tomato and a couple cooked slices of onions for $14. Service was good but very expensive for very mediocre food. Wouldn't go back.
The starters are great, mainly the ricotta and fish crudo. We tried two different kinds of pasta that weren’t very special. The reason for the 3 starts is that the service is very poor and unprofessional.
The menu items did not reflect the delivered food. Ordered pasta with fava beans and peas etc, but no fava beans. Told waiter and they delivered new one with favas. Dessert was panna cotta with grapefruit etc, arrived with berries and graham cracker crumbs, no grapefruit. Suggest that menu reflects reality.
Waiter forgot our drinks order, then got one of the main courses wrong meaning that we ate at separate times. When the correct dish came out (clearly rushed) it didn't have some of the ingredients in it (pine nuts) so we had to ask for these separately. We were offered free drinks or dessert but by then we just wanted to leave and really would have preferred the cost of the wrong meal to be knocked off. A real shame as my food was tasty.
Brunch was delicious! The eggs and greens were clearly fresh, which was especially exciting for us farmers visiting the city. We appreciated the chef stepping out of the kitchen to interact with guests and sharing his story. Not to mention, the beignets were bangin. Would totally recommend this lovely and inviting spot.
