While we enjoyed the food itself - we had the chicken parm and stuffed shrimp - the ambiance was lacking as it was brightly lit (like a classroom) and the tables were too close to each other. However, our main disappointment was that just as our food arrived, a 30-35 person birthday party entered, occupying a singular long a table that traversed the entire back half of the restaurant; this COMPLETELY changed the evening and took away from the experience. It's been 8 months since I've been to Forlini's, and that's a sin. But the portions are so large that it only makes sense that I space my visits, right? RIGHT?Seriously, stop in for pasta - I love their linguini - and anything seafood.Friendly staff, full bar, old-school Italian joint that's perfect for a family gathering, or even a date. Forlini's is a gem.
I only rated this high because of the very pleasant owner and the taste of the food. Otherwise it was one of the worst experiences we had because of the waiter who thinks he was so smart… We have been to NY for so many times and we have never experienced this. The waiter himself was also originally from a diffrent counrty but i think he has some issues with the counrty that we are from.
