used to be my go to spot for bagels in the neighborhood but for some reason, in the last couple months they've made them wayyyyyy smaller than they used to, below average size of a bagel.

I’ve been coming here since I was a child and the experience would usually be short and pleasant, but today I ordered a plain bagel with cream cheese and jelly, initially I was going to order from the cook directly but the lady behind the counter (that always seems grumpy) took my order instead and asked if i wanted it toasted and I said yes which she repeated back to the cook. I received a cold bagel with only cream cheese. I called to tell them about the mistake and said I would come back. Once I arrived, the lady behind the counter was immediately defensive, all I said was that I called about the bagel and she raised her voice implying that I was lying and that I didn’t ask for jelly or toasted even though I heard her tell him and was the only customer in there. I remained calm during the whole thing and even asked her to stop raising her voice only for her to continue saying that I was wrong but they’ll make it anyways. I just asked for the refund instead of a remake, no point in paying for food made with anger. I took my business across the street to the deli and will continue to do so in the future.

I had black coffee it was okay, the conchas I actually not bad for Manhattan, one thing that really throws me off is their Tortas, I order a Cemita,it's basically a cold chicken sandwich they call cemilta. They really need a new cook.

Their baked goods are definitely baked fresh every morning bc it always smells like hot butter and amazingness. Not to mention the bagels and food are always fresh as well. The display case and food are kept very clean/neat and the wait time is really good for a very busy morning spot. Love this place and the staff is very very friendly!

This is one of my favorite spots to stop at before heading across the George Washington Bridge. It's always great, tonight I stopped in and grabbed some black-and-white cookies and without a doubt these are the best black-and-white cookies I have had in New York in decades.

I can't speak as to the quality of the rest of this place, but I paid nearly $12 for a BEC on an everything bagel and felt like they shook me down.

Unmemorable. Nearly devoid of American cheese to where it had me questioning if it was there at all. As dry as the Gobi. Any flavor came from the bacon, which is serviceable, but still hardly worth mentioning.

It's difficult to want to venture out and try anything else from here if they can't even compete with a bodega BEC, especially at more than double the price. Maybe their pastries are better than their bagels, I don't know, but their bagels weren't anything to write home about. Everything bagels usually taste like something, not nothing.

It's painfully unclear on where to order. The guy behind the counter cooking just ignored me while the register was empty, so I just stood there like the John Travolta meme looking lost until someone showed up.

Probably won't be returning. The customer service in this neighborhood is notoriously unfriendly, but this place feels colder than a rural truck stop.

This is what a neighborhood place is all about. The people behind the counter were fast and friendly. The apricot pastry I had was perfect: flaky, sweet but not overly so, and affordable. I'll be back again and again.

Fort Washington Bakery & Deli has great egg sandwiches and dessert options!! During the holidays, their Christmas cookies & pumpkin pie are great to bring to your friend or family gathering. Highly recommend! Note: I believe they are cash only, so come prepared!!

We lived in this neighborhood from February '99 to September '05 and this was our go-to bakery & deli. Best prices, best food and best service all in one!Two decades later and it's still the best. We stop in every time we come back to visit our old neighborhood and it's still every bit as good. You literally can't get better challah or hamantashen in Jerusalem.
