What a beautiful, historical restaurant! I have been to NYC multiple times and never been here. It felt like something you would find in Boston, but not NYC. I loved it! The food was amazing too!
Cool historical setting, but the food and service are pretty mediocre. It would be nice to have more historical context and relevant food. Pretty sure George Washington wasn't eating a burger and truffle fries when he said goodbye to his troops.
The restaurant is historic and worth paying a visit to. Unfortunately we were a party of 10 and most of the food entrees we received were almost cold. The restaurant was not at all crowded when we were there as it was 11 a.m. on a Saturday so I don't understand why the food was not hot.
