This iconic NYC mainstay is THE place for cheese and more. They have such a great variety and it's always top notch. It's fun to browse through all their offerings. Their items are good for hostess gifts, party platters or just treating ourselves.
We were there recently for a tasting for tiered cheese rounds as an addition to the cocktail hour for our daughter's wedding. The manager provided us with some wonderful suggestions and made the experience so enjoyable! We were so happy with the experience, the cheeses were delish and we're excited to have it at the wedding!

Highly recommended, and must if you're visiting NYC. One of the OG of cheese shops in the city, very knowledgeable and friendly staff and tons to offer from all budgets on cheese! There are take and go foods to reheat or just take to the park. The classes and workshops there are super fun and small, fun for a group and exploring the inhouse cheese caves. GET THE GRILLED CHEESE. It is THE best in NYC. I look forward to coming back for more! Enjoy!!!

Pretty regular if you ask me. Their fresh mozz is not that great. There’s no shredded cheese, I asked the guy at the counter if they should shred a block and they couldn’t. They have like 2 kinds of Mexican cheese which is sad for a cheese store that’s as big as it is. The mac and cheese isn’t anything to write home about. Their stuffed shells were average at best. Their vodka sauce is very regular and also $11 for a small container. Murray’s is overpriced and average. Goto Rafetto’s if you want really good fresh mozz, best in the neighborhood. Also their pasta and sauces are SO much better than Murray’s. I probably won’t be going back.
