Sometimes things are best left alone. I miss this place and its location of what it was some years ago—small diner like seating, yummy food, attentive customer service. The current location is pretty but misses core dishes and is overpriced. It gives stuffy versus warmth and comfort. Thank goodness for the 72nd location.

For appetizers, we had the buffalo wings (which were a bit on the salty side), herbed fries, and the guacamole. I love their fish tacos. It's a good-sized portion and filling. My friends loved their matzo ball soup and half sandwiches. Also done to perfection was the roasted salmon. Very attentive service.

Fantastic pre-show dinner spot before heading to MSG. Kelly, our waitress who is currently in training, was outstanding — warm, funny, attentive, and incredibly accommodating. You’d never know she wasn’t already a full-time server. She made the whole experience feel relaxed and taken care of.
The food was excellent as well. The grain bowl with salmon was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced, and the hangar steak was a standout — cooked beautifully and exceeded expectations.
Great place for brunch. Book if you can unless you don’t mind waiting. It gets very busy. Food is delicious. Service is great.

Went here yesterday for brunch, the lemon Ricotta pancakes were sooo good, if you like lemon flavor you will like this because it was strong! My partner got the stake and eggs special which he enjoyed. My friend got the nova benny which she also said was really good. Only downside is we got a hot chocolate and it was cold and wayyy too chocolatey (which I know sounds impossible) def needed more milk and was about half full with the rest being whipped cream.We also got the iced latte that was just okay. The fresh squeeze orange juice was good but hard to mess that up.

Our family went the weekend before Christmas. It was super busy and we had a very large party. I had called ahead but only by 15 minutes telling the staff I was ok with us being split up but we just wanted to eat there (my child is celiac) when we arrived at the restraunt they had a table ready for our entire party together. The food was delicious. My son who is celiac was so happy to be able to eat from a menu he didn't have to pick and choose from.The service was amazing. A few of our drinks were a little late, again they were very busy, but we had to catch a train so they put them in to go cups. The service was just awesome! We cant wait to go back again!

I have been going to Friedmans for yearsss! That should already tell you. I don’t really stray away from the pastruben and the turkey burger but my friends and family say the other plates are good. My stomach is always happy and full.
