This review is exclusively for the chocolate chip cookie! I had Funny Face Bakery on my list for the longest time, after seeing it beat out Levain in several cookie reviews. I had my doubts, as I am a huge Levain fan, so I was pleasantly surprised that I enjoyed this cookie. However, I do not necessarily think it is fair to compare the two cookies, as it comes down to preference. To me, Levain's cookies skew more toward "natural" flavoring, versus Chip City's...

Funny Face Bakery is hands down now my favorite cookie spot in NYC! For background, I’ve never been here nor even heard of the bakery until digging around at bakeries that did specialty desserts and treats for Valentines Day. Yummy smore's cookie! soooo good! tried some when a coworker ordered them for a office meeting and was really impressed! With some crunch and smore's, the combo was perfect and great for sharing (or I'm sure I can eat one myself).
