Food would have been ok if it wasn’t drenched in tons of salt. Every single meal tasted like pure salt. Quite crazy, not sure how this place has so many 5 star reviews for food quality
The menu is varied and interesting, and the ingredients fresh. But Gazala's misses the mark with spices and seasonings. Dishes are fresh, but lack the tang, interest and nuance that are the essence of delicious food and satisfaction with a meal. Healthy, yes. But also dull on the palate.
This food is to die for. Deeply flavorful and delicious. Everything is authentic eastern Mediterranean and the portions are large. There is nothing at Gazala that isn’t prepared to perfection. The Gazala platter and Kebab Halabi are must have dishes.
