One of the best
Pastries are really good... extra dollar but worth it.
Amazing ice cream and - unlike in most cases in the US, not super-sweet - which is great.
I got a small scoop of ice cream here and liked it.
there are better options nearby.
The best toppings for great tasting Gelato is kindness and friendliness. I received both when I stopped by on night of Saturday 9/13/25.
Got Frutti di Bosco with Peach and Pistachio in a cup along with an pineapple and coconut Pastry while conversing about chicken and pineapple on Pizza( IYKYK). I will go back and I'm telling a friend.
Gentile Gelateria is a sleek spot for artisanal gelato, offering a small but carefully curated selection of flavors. What they lack in variety, they make up for in taste — the hazelnut I tried was rich, smooth, and full of flavor, easily one of the better gelatos I’ve had in the city.
That said, the portions are on the smaller side, and the prices feel pretty steep for what you actually get. It’s definitely high-quality gelato, but you’ll be paying a premium for the experience.
Overall, Gentile is a great place to stop if you’re craving authentic, well-made gelato and don’t mind splurging a bit, but it’s not the most generous scoop in town.
I would say right now its one of the best places to eat gelato in nyc.
The wait is usually around 10 minutes but its worth it. Good flavors, incredible texture and I must highlight their amazing cone. Its delicious.
Great quality gelato! Pistachio/Nocciola was the best!
This Italian gelateria is very cute and has a very nice selection of ice cream and gelato. I was super impressed with their celery gelato, as it is made with real celery and they somehow managed to make it taste delicious. They also serve coffee and other pastries. There is limited seating available but it seems like most people were taking their orders to go.
Despite their delicious gelato, we had a very unpleasant experience at this location and it was due to the extremely rude manager at this location. I came here with a group of students and nuns as this was supposed to be a treat for the student volunteers. One of the sisters asked if they were able to give the group a discount. The manager rudely replied no we don't do that, the issue is not that she denied the discount it, was her extremely rude and unprofessional demeanor towards the sister. We went ahead with ordering and there was a question about the prices, once again the manager at this location spoke to the sister in a very rude and inappropriate manner. I have to highlight that the other employees that were serving the ice cream were extremely nice and friendly. It's really a shame that a manager is treating customers in such a rude and condescending manner. This person needs proper training on customer service skills if they are representing the company in a management position.

I stopped in here for dessert just now I got thc crème caramel and cafe!!. The ice cream was great but the mini sugar cone mounted on top for some reason was stale I don’t think a sugar cone is supposed to be cardboard which is why I had to knock it down a star!. Friendly staff though!!.
Great ice cream. Just be careful when ordering for kids. If you order a kids cup ($6.50), they’ll charge you $9.25 if they combine two flavors. As it’s $8.50 for an adult small cup with the same amount, it makes no sense and feels unfair for kids.
Authentic Italian gelato from Bari, Puglia. The best in the world!
Great gelato, especially the chocolate. Friendly service.
Their mango and lemon sorbets were amazing. Friendly staff. Nice location.
